Erik Dornbush Hawks, president of Sen Saigon, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in hospitality.
Mr. Hawks is an esteemed restaurateur and president of Sen Saigon, the first and only vegan Vietnamese restaurant in New York City. He is also the co-owner and operator of Sen Plant Based Vietnamese, a plant-based Vietnamese brand, since 2023. Focusing heavily on the strategic and administrative tasks of the restaurant, he also provides vision and growth strategy for the future of the business. Beyond his contributions to the hospitality sector, Mr. Hawks is a senior technical program manager at FanDuel, a position he secured in 2025. This role has been instrumental in enhancing developer efficiency and effectiveness while reducing development toil for the New York City-based sports technology entertainment company.
Leveraging over a decade of experience in software development to support his entrepreneurial ventures and position at FanDuel, Mr. Hawks initially worked as a software developer at SPARC in 2015. He then joined WisEngineering as an associate software developer, Column Information Security as an IAMS consultant, Housemoney as a technical co-founder, and Spotify as a senior system engineer and interim product manager. While pursuing his degrees, Mr. Hawks also completed a research internship at Engineering Research Laboratories and a data scientist internship at Leidos.
Mr. Hawks holds a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering from the University of Virginia since 2015 and has completed coursework toward a master’s degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University’s Whitings School of Engineering. He also holds several professional credentials, including as a certified ethical hacker through EC-Council and in exploratory data analysis through Coursera. Mr. Hawks’ expertise in software development, growth management and program management have been instrumental in his success. In the coming years, he anticipates continuous growth in the restaurant sector, making Vietnamese vegan food more accessible while also becoming a more significant influence within large organizations like Spotify, where he can apply his expertise in holistic and solutions-oriented problem-solving to transform them beyond their current capabilities.
