In 2012, Ms. Barros joined Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris in Boston as an assistant director of housekeeping. Her tenure there lasted until 2013, when she moved to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group as an assistant executive housekeeper. These roles allowed her to refine her skills in managing large teams and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
From 2015 to 2016, Ms. Barros served as the director of housekeeping at Battery Wharf Hotel-Boston Waterfront before taking on a similar role at The Charles Hotel in Boston from 2016 to 2022. Her leadership during these years was marked by numerous accolades, including being named Leader of the Quarter, Leader of the Month, and Leader of the Year, all in recognition of her hard work and dedication to excellence. Additionally, Ms. Barros was recognized with a 30 and Under Award for her outstanding contributions to the industry.
Ms. Barros’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in hospitality and tourism management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, earned in 2004.
