Mr. Wiley has enjoyed a fulfilling career in financial services for more than 15 years, marked by a commitment to his education and his community. Recently concluding his role at Star One Credit Union, a full-service financial institution in Sunnyvale, California, in 2026 after more than five years with the organization, he served as a community and business development representative. In this role, Mr. Wiley presented at educational institutions on personal finance and career preparation, interacted with corporate partners to support financial wellness programs and coordinated events for financial education activities.

Initially hired by Star One Credit Union in 2018, Mr. Wiley excelled as a financial services and mortgage loan originator for a little over a year. In this capacity, he helped clients open new accounts, ranging from retirement, trust and estate accounts to conservatorships. He also originated applications for real estate loans, among other objectives.

Recruited to Star One Credit Union from U.S. Bank, Mr. Wiley spent five years in progressive leadership roles. He began his professional journey in the leadership development program in San Francisco from 2010 to 2012. Subsequently, Mr. Wiley became an assistant manager and branch operations specialist for U.S. Bank in Los Gatos, California.

Mr. Wiley’s academic background laid a strong foundation for his career. He completed coursework at San Joaquin Delta College in 2001 before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from San José State University in 2009. Mr. Wiley’s educational achievements have been instrumental in his success, providing him with the knowledge and skills necessary for his roles in financial services.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Wiley holds several certifications that underscore his expertise in the field. These include credentials as a mortgage loan originator and licensed notary from the State of California, credentials as a credit union business development professional and credit union financial counselor from America’s Credit Unions, and essentials certification in Sales Navigator from LinkedIn Corporation.

Mr. Wiley’s dedication extends beyond his professional life into civic involvement and community service. He has served on the board of directors for the San Jose State Alumni Association since 2021. He has also served on the board of directors for the Tower Foundation at his alma mater, San José State University, since 2025, helping to oversee the foundation’s activities and operations. Additionally, Mr. Wiley remains active as a mentor on campus.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wiley was an executive board member of the Leadership Association Bay Area chapter 540 with Lockheed Martin Corporation in Sunnyvale from 2019 to 2026 and a disaster response partner with the Community Emergency Response Team in San Jose. Mr. Wiley also contributed to community efforts as a member of the Sunnyvale Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce between 2020 and 2024. He simultaneously served in the same capacity for the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce as a member of its executive board from 2021 to 2023. Both opportunities allowed Mr. Wiley to help community members grow their businesses and enhance their membership investment.

Mr. Wiley’s journey reflects persistence, resilience and a growth mindset influenced by several mentors throughout his career. Looking ahead, he plans to balance work with travel and increased involvement in his children’s activities while expanding his network within areas connected to his interests. Mr. Wiley advises those entering the finance industry to engage with nonprofits that resonate with them and acquire basic accounting knowledge, as it provides valuable insights into the economy.
