Mr. Bryson has led a distinguished and diverse career for over 20 years. In 2014, he assumed the role of chief executive officer at Gridiron Football. For more than a decade, he has dedicated himself to running camps and organizing events that maintain athlete GPA standards and character requirements. Mr. Bryson’s efforts have significantly impacted young athletes across Louisiana and beyond.
In addition to his role at Gridiron Football, Mr. Bryson has served as a regional scout and defensive coach for Lestini Pro Football Camp since 2015. Additionally, since 2017, he has been excelling as a public affairs officer for the Mississippi State Guard since 2017.
Mr. Bryson’s journey began in DeRidder, Louisiana, where he overcame a challenging upbringing marked by poverty. Determined to forge a different path, he joined the U.S. Navy in 2000, serving until 2008 with deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Mr. Bryson’s military service instilled in him a sense of discipline and dedication that would later define his career.
After sustaining injuries that led to his discharge, Mr. Bryson pursued higher education at Louisiana State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in sports administration in 2012. This academic foundation equipped him with the skills necessary to excel in the sports industry.
While in college, Mr. Bryson completed an internship with the Louisiana State University football team in 2012, where he later served as an assistant D-line coach in 2013. From there, he garnered roles as a defensive line coach for the Crescent City Kings, as an offensive line coach for the Max Emfinger All-American Bowl, and as a defensive coach for the Lestini Pro Football Camp in Alabama. Moreover, Mr. Bryson was employed by WVLA-TV, Nexstar Media Inc., in Louisiana in 2017, where he hosted weekly segments and made football predictions.
Mr. Bryson’s commitment to community development is evident through his work with various civic organizations. Most notably, he has been instrumental in reducing incarceration rates among high-school-aged males and increasing graduation rates through his programs. Mr. Bryson is also active in the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, volunteers with the Heritage Ranch and has served as the director of the Fall Fest at Vineyard Church of Baton Rouge since 2012.
In recognition of his hard work, Mr. Bryson has earned several accolades, such as the Key to the City from the mayor of Pineville. Additionally, he received a Meritorious Recognition from the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Grateful for his success, Mr. Bryson has been guided by several influential mentors from Louisiana State University and Southeastern Louisiana University. Their teachings on leadership and people management have profoundly influenced his approach to running Gridiron Football like a disciplined football team.
