With a career spanning nearly two decades, Mr. Hamasaki has established himself as a distinguished figure in the financial services industry. In 2024, he became a partner at EisnerAmper in Pasadena, California, which is recognized as one of the largest business consulting firms in the world. Mr. Hamasaki’s expertise in entrepreneur collaboration has been instrumental in assisting businesses to maximize their potential for obtaining debt and providing audited financial statements to lenders or investors.
Serving as the commercial audit partner, Mr. Hamasaki leverages his accounting skills to handle the daily operations of EisnerAmper’s audit practice. He is also in charge of its manufacturing and distribution sector. Mr. Hamasaki is involved in managing complex transactions across a multitude of industries, ranging from real estate and construction to hospitality, digital media, nonprofit and more.
Mr. Hamasaki’s professional journey began at CohnReznick Advisory LLC in Woodland Hills, California, where he advanced from a staff member to a manager between 2007 and 2015. He then served as a fund controller at American Realty Advisors in Glendale, California, from 2015 to 2016. His tenure at KROST CPAs & Consultants in Pasadena saw him rise through the ranks from senior manager in 2016 to director between 2019 and 2021, and finally principal of assurance and advisory until 2024.
Mr. Hamasaki’s academic foundation includes a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and business law from California State University, Northridge. He also obtained credentials as a certified public accountant from the California Board of Accountancy in 2011. Mr. Hamasaki’s education laid the groundwork for his successful career.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Hamasaki is deeply committed to industry leadership and civic engagement. He has served on the board of directors and is a past president of the Los Angeles chapter of the California Society of CPAs since 2015. He has also been involved with the Asian Pacific CPA Association and the Urban Land Institute. Among other involvements, Mr. Hamasaki is a founding governor and vice president of the Asian Hall of Fame and serves as an alum chapter president at the David Nazarian college of business and economics at California State University, Northridge.
During his tenure at CohnReznick Advisory LLC, Mr. Hamasaki was honored with the PYRAMID Award in 2014 for his exceptional contributions. While employed by KROST CPAs & Consultants, he was featured in KROST Quarterly for his insights on new privacy laws impacting businesses. Mr. Hamasaki’s accolades also include being named among the Top 100 Accountants by the Los Angeles Business Journal for three years and receiving recognition as a Distinguished Leader by the California Society of CPAs.
