Since 2017, Mr. Ott has served as the owner and chief executive officer of Stronghold Environmental in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this capacity, he has guided the company’s strategic growth while emphasizing high standards in project delivery. Recognized as a hazardous material environmental services company, Mr. Ott and his team serve both the residential and commercial sectors.
After launching Stronghold Environmental, Mr. Ott co-founded Stronghold Construction in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. He then co-founded Stronghold Premier Roofing Services in Warr Acres, a business he maintained from 2022 to 2023. During this period, he contributed to development and operations. These ventures expanded Mr. Ott’s expertise beyond environmental consulting into related construction sectors.
From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Ott worked for Tec-An Inc. as a laboratory manager and asbestos inspector in Oklahoma City. This role allowed him to deepen his technical knowledge and refine his skills in asbestos analysis and inspection protocols.
Mr. Ott’s professional foundation was established through service as a corporal and team leader with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California, from 2010 to 2014. His military experience instilled discipline and resilience that have continued to inform his approach to leadership and overcoming challenges throughout his career.
In 2017, Mr. Ott graduated with an associate’s degree in geology from Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biblical theology at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The combination of scientific training and ongoing academic pursuits has supported his ability to address complex environmental issues while maintaining a values-driven perspective.
Mr. Ott holds several certifications relevant to his field. In 2016, he completed the Environmental Protection Agency-approved asbestos abatement contractor supervisor course at Moore Norman Technology Center. That same year, he earned adult first aid/CPR/AED certification from The American National Red Cross and achieved asbestos accreditation under TSCA Title II and NESHAP at Moore Norman Technology Center. Earlier, Mr. Ott obtained the asbestos NIOSH 582e certification from Moore Norman Technology Center. These credentials have enabled him to deliver specialized services with confidence and authority.
Active in his professional community, Mr. Ott is a member of the American Subcontractors Association and the IAHA, underscoring his engagement with leading industry organizations. Beyond professional pursuits, he values connecting with younger generations by demonstrating how academic learning translates into real-world solutions for pressing challenges. Mr. Ott hopes to inspire others through public speaking engagements that encourage creative problem-solving among future leaders.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ott has been recognized for his accomplishments with notable accolades, such as the Project of the Year Award from the American Subcontractors Association in 2024. He was also an inductee of Phi Theta Kappa and the Rose State Honors Society. Mr. Ott attributes his success to a relentless mindset when facing obstacles and taking risks. He recognizes that failure can be part of the process if it leads to learning and believes that pushing through challenges with determination is essential for growth. Consistency during difficult times has been vital to Mr. Ott’s achievements.
Looking ahead, Mr. Ott aims for Stronghold Environmental to remain a pillar within the community by expanding training opportunities for employees and younger generations alike. He notably introduced training classes through Stronghold Environmental that serve as key resources for workforce development and knowledge sharing within the industry, and plans to add more classes over time. Mr. Ott also aims to expand operations into additional states by attracting investors who share his vision for responsible growth. Recent projects, such as work on PFOS remediation for the fire department at Will Rogers International Airport, further reflect his commitment to exploring new opportunities that address evolving environmental needs.
Crediting much of his success to his wife, Amber, who has been both a partner and a primary source of support and manages all accounting and human resources responsibilities for their business endeavors, Mr. Ott credits his partnership with her for allowing him to focus on strategic growth while ensuring operational stability. He remains dedicated to building teams comprised of individuals who value their work and strive for rewarding careers marked by pride in daily accomplishments.
