From 2022 to 2023, Ms. Deans was a lead Workday financial business systems analyst at LiveRamp in the San Francisco Bay Area. Between 2020 and 2022, Ms. Deans contributed as a Workday Financials business systems analyst for the company, establishing her reputation for identifying manual repetitive processes and creating scalable solutions that enhance accuracy while reducing operational costs.
Ms. Deans’s earlier tenure as a Workday financial analyst and senior associate at PwC Global from 2019 to 2020 allowed her to deepen her experience within the Workday ecosystem on both customer and partner sides. At LendingTree LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina, between 2017 and 2019, she served as a financial system analyst, during which she began working closely with Workday-certified consultants on implementations and post-production support for clients.
Ms. Deans’s journey into technology began after serving as a consultant for financial analysis in information technology finance at The Hartford from 2013 to 2017. She supported The Hartford, working with its technology team, known as MPWR, for five years before transitioning into roles focused on optimizing business processes through technology. Ms. Deans first joined The Hartford in 2012 as a financial analyst. Her earlier roles included senior financial analyst at Hilco Appraisal Services and Hilco Global, after working in various capacities at CVS Caremark and Shaw’s, dating back to 1999.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Deans earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting with a minor in legal studies at Bryant University in 2005, followed by a Master of Business Administration in accounting and finance from American InterContinental University in 2006. She also holds an impressive array of credentials from Workato, including automation pro I, II and III certifications, a recipe lifecycle management badge, a recipe functions badge, a designation in advanced data transformations and, among others, a financials certified partner credential.
A member of AnitaB.org, Ms. Deans is committed to advancing women in technology. She will attend AnitaB’s celebration later this year and is preparing a presentation for the Workato Wow Conference on the development of a new Workday MCP integration project. Outside of her primary responsibilities, Ms. Deans volunteers with ENGin, where she assists Ukrainians in learning English.
Ms. Deans distinguishes herself through a rare capacity to translate complex concepts between accountants and technologists. Her foundational knowledge of accounting, demonstrated by fluency with T accounts, and passion for programming have enabled her to configure automated systems that replicate traditional accounting tasks. She is also developing applications like ReignVault, an application designed with Claude AI that allows users to catalog objects via photographs, and is seeking angel investors for additional application ideas with plans for future publication on the App Store.
