Currently serving as a commercial loan officer at Alaska Growth Capital BIDCO, Inc., Mr. Anders has spent the past few years contributing to the organization’s mission following its transition from McKinley Alaska Growth Capital. In this capacity, he is responsible for structuring deals, terms and collateral to ensure loan security while handling cash flow, inventory, balance sheets and financial statements. To maintain constant communication with customers, he manages calls, text messages and emails, while also overseeing customer expectations by informing clients about anticipated processes and outcomes.

Mr. Anders’ expertise in business acquisition and expansion deals has earned him distinction within the industry. He takes pride in witnessing small-business owners successfully enter the market or increase their equity on their balance sheets. Helping individuals cross the finish line and empowering small businesses to gain greater ownership and accumulate assets remains Mr. Anders’ most notable achievement.

Before his current position, Mr. Anders built a robust career foundation through a series of progressively responsible roles. From 2017 to 2022, he was a loan officer at First National Bank Alaska after completing its management training program in 2017. During his tenure there, Mr. Anders developed a comprehensive understanding of lending practices and financial services that continue to inform his work today.

Mr. Anders’ earlier professional experience included several years at Alaska Glacier Products in Anchorage. He began as an intern in 2015, focusing on sales and marketing initiatives before advancing to logistics specialist from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, Mr. Anders continued with the company as a sales and marketing representative, where he gained valuable insights into product distribution and client relations.

Having begun his career at McKinley Capital Lodge in southwestern Alaska, Mr. Anders served as a property manager from 2010 to 2014. This initial role provided him with foundational skills that have supported his subsequent achievements.

Mr. Anders’ academic accomplishments have played a pivotal role in shaping his career trajectory. He completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics at the College of Business and Public Policy at the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2018 and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage in 2025. This advanced degree equipped Mr. Anders with the analytical tools necessary for structuring complex financial transactions and supporting business growth initiatives.

He volunteers with Junior Achievement in Anchorage, where he supports youth education initiatives focused on financial literacy and entrepreneurship. As a donor to both the American Cancer Society, Inc., and United Way, he demonstrates ongoing dedication to community well-being.

The foundation for Mr. Anders’ success is rooted in formative experiences growing up in an agricultural family where visits to bankers’ offices left a lasting impression on him. Observing these interactions inspired his interest in finance and real estate. Now working on the other side of the desk as a lender, Mr. Anders credits his mentors and role models within these industries for guiding his professional journey and instilling values that continue to influence his approach.

Mr. Anders’ achievements have been recognized by industry peers through honors such as the Lenders Choice Awards in Alaska, an acknowledgment of his impact within the financial sector. Looking ahead toward future success, he aims to assist more individuals while remaining actively engaged with the business community. Mr. Anders envisions taking on an entrepreneurial role himself, potentially acquiring equity in a business or forming partnerships within government contracting, as he continues to advance both personally and professionally.
