Her journey with Federal Engineering & Testing began in 2011 when she relocated to South Florida at age 25 to join the business her father founded in 1989. Initially tasked with administrative office responsibilities, Ms. Weber quickly advanced to office management before taking on field inspections and estimating proposals for a key department. Demonstrating a keen aptitude for operations and leadership, she was soon promoted to manage that department.
From 2011 to 2015, Ms. Weber served as the marketing coordinator and project estimator at Federal Engineering & Testing in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this capacity, she contributed to the company’s growth by supporting project bids and coordinating marketing efforts. Ms. Weber’s role evolved between 2015 and 2020 as a roofing operations manager, where she oversaw critical aspects of roof testing and inspections while managing departmental functions.
Ms. Weber’s leadership trajectory continued as the vice president in Pompano Beach from 2018 to 2020. During this period, she played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s reach along the East Coast up to Melbourne, Florida, and into new markets such as Okeechobee and Florida’s West Coast cities, including Fort Myers, Naples, Sarasota and Tampa. Ms. Weber also facilitated projects in Georgia at military bases and Disney hotels.
In 2020, Ms. Weber assumed the position of chief operating officer in Oakland Park before becoming the CEO later that year. Since taking full ownership of the company in September 2020, she has managed all facets of operations, including contract review, proposal evaluation, insurance oversight for medical, professional liability and general liability coverage, purchasing management and human resources administration. She also directs payroll, marketing initiatives and networking activities while visiting job sites as needed. Under Ms. Weber’s stewardship during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time that saw increased demand for construction services, Federal Engineering & Testing experienced its most successful year on record.
Currently leading a team of 25 employees, Ms. Weber educates contractors, homeowners and community members about building codes with an emphasis on coastal regulations. Notably, the company collaborates with major roofing contractors to provide testing services for hotels, resorts, apartment communities and luxury residences. Ms. Weber’s expertise is further evidenced by her contributions to significant projects, such as the Pavement Project at Admirals Cove since 2013, as well as the TAS-106 Tile Uplift Testing at Central Parc, Hidden Trails and Manor Parc, and the TAS-10 at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.
Ms. Weber’s educational background includes an Associate of Arts from Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, earned in 2016. She has also pursued specialized certifications that enhance her effectiveness as a leader, notably credentials as a business specialist and accounting technology specialist from Broward College in 2016 and a business operations certification from Broward College in 2019.
Among her numerous professional affiliations that reflect her commitment to industry advancement, Ms. Weber is an active member of the National Association of Women in Roofing, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Construction Association of South Florida, the American Institute of Professional Geologists and the RCI International Association with a quality assurance observer membership. Her active engagement also includes leadership roles, including her role as the president of Chapter 78 of the National Association of Women in Construction’s Greater Fort Lauderdale chapter since 2025. Ms. Weber has also served as the president, board member and marketing committee member of the Margate & Lighthouse Point Chamber of Commerce (now Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce) since 2025, and as the vice chair for Southeast Florida and the Caribbean region of the Better Business Bureau since 2026 after joining its board in 2025. Meanwhile, her longstanding civic engagement includes membership in the Order of the Eastern Star and her volunteer efforts as a voter greeter for political organizations.
Ms. Weber’s achievements have been recognized through numerous awards over the past decade, including Employee of the Month at Federal Engineering & Testing multiple times between 2015 and 2017, a Small Business Person of the Year accolade from the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce in 2018, among other accolades from the chamber, and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman Ted Deutch in 2021.
Throughout her career, Ms. Weber has demonstrated remarkable determination, a quality she credits for her success. She is known for standing firm in her convictions and advocating for herself even in challenging circumstances. This resolve has enabled Ms. Weber not only to sustain but also to expand her family’s legacy business as a second-generation owner. She takes particular pride in having defied the common narrative that second-generation owners lack passion or fail to grow their inherited enterprises. For Ms. Weber, continuing her father’s legacy while achieving new heights of success remains her most meaningful accomplishment.
