Prof. Diane M. Falk, Freelance Research Specialist and Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in research and writing.

In the eyes of Ms. Falk, research and writing are essential for recording the legacy, perspective, and constructive ideas and accomplishments of the time. She feels that it is an honor to be able to contribute to such an important cause, and is currently lending her services as a freelance research specialist and consultant. In the past, Ms. Falk has garnered experience as the director of research, the head librarian, an editorial research specialist, and a website education program associate at The World & I: The Magazine for Lifelong Learners (now The World & I Online), and as a research information specialist and research librarian for News World Communications, Inc. Other notable roles include research information specialist for the Harkavy Information Service, indexer and fact-checker for H. W. Wilson & Company (now EBSCO Industries, Inc.), bibliographical enhancement text editor for New York Times Information Service, Inc., research librarian and document analyst for Atlantis Energy and Minerals (now Atlantis Energy), and document analyst for the United Nations Certified Transnational Corps. To prepare for her endeavors, she earned a Master of Library Science and a Bachelor of Arts in English and world literature from Columbia University in 1979 and 1973, respectively.

Outside of her work, Ms. Falk is very active in her community. She has been a conference coordinator for the Women’s Federation for World Peace since 2007, a secretary for the D.C. Chapter of the Women’s Federation for World Peace since 1993, the acting secretary for the International Federation for World Peace since 1993, a staff volunteer for International Leadership Seminars since 1991, and a volunteer for the International Federation for World Peace since 1990.

In light of her achievements, Ms. Falk was honored with numerous awards from the International Federation for World Peace (now the Universal Peace Federation), certificates of appreciation from the chair of the Intellectual Freedom Committee of the District of Columbia Library Association, a corporate award from the Washington Times Corporation (now The Washington Times, LLC), and an Ambassador of Peace Award. She was also recognized for 20 years with The World & I.

When Ms. Falk has free time, she enjoys traveling, photography, music, theater, and collecting research archives.
