Moise Fokou, Chief Operating Officer at Chasen Companies, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction management.
Hailing from Cameroon, Mr. Fokou immigrated at age five with his parents to Rockville, Maryland in 1990. A gifted athlete, he excelled as a running back and linebacker for Forsburg State University in 2004 and transferred the following year to Michigan State University, where during a three-year career with the Spartans recorded more than 180 tackles and played in the 2009 Under Armour Senior Bowl. Mr. Fokou then flourished at linebacker during a six-year career from 2009 to 2014 in the National Football League with the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints.
After leaving the NFL, Mr. Fokou obtained a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University in 2014 and since 2017 has provided superior service as chief operating officer with Chasen Companies, a premier real estate development company specializing in acquisition, building, and management of properties, building and leasing a portfolio of luxury multifamily, commercial, and single-family homes in the Baltimore region. In this capacity, he manages operations and construction projects of the company, overseeing a team of 40-60 people.
Mr. Fokou attributes his success to his work ethics and determination. As a career highlight, he cites helping Chasen Companies achieve the honor as one of the fastest-growing companies in the Inc 5000 Regionals in the DC Metro area for two consecutive years. He is extremely proud of this collaborative success by him and the rest of the team. In coming years, Mr. Fokou intends to expand the business outside their Baltimore and DC area and enter other markets.
