With nearly 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Bruno has excelled as a senior information risk officer for Verisk since 2015. Prior to this appointment, she held a number of positions with Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, including as the vice president for surveillance and risk management from 2005 to 2012 and the vice president for compliance from 2012 to 2014. Ms. Bruno further worked as the vice president of the branch control group for Investment Manager Services, later known as Pershing LLC Prime Brokerage Services, between 1997 and 2005.
Ms. Bruno was previously active as a prime broker associate with Lehman Brothers from 1992 to 1997. She has also dedicated her time and attention to Shearson Lehman Brothers as the supervisor of rush transfers between 1988 and 1992. Ms. Bruno began her career as an associate in the mutual funds department at Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith from 1984 to 1988.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Bruno pursued an education at Broward Community College, where she completed undergraduate coursework. Moreover, she obtained her certifications in risk and information systems control from the New York Metropolitan Chapter of Information Systems Audit and Control Association, a cloud practitioner by Amazon Web Services and a privacy professional by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Currently, Ms. Bruno hopes to earn her certification as an information systems security professional.
As a testament to her exceptional endeavors, Ms. Bruno was notably presented with a Make a Difference Award for Mentoring and a Spot Award from Pershing Advisor Solutions in LLC in 2010. She was additionally recognized with a Leadership Award from Pershing Advisor Solutions LLC in 2005, 2006 and 2012. She attributes her success to the values instilled within her by her father, including her penchant for preparing and arriving early for any obligation. Looking toward the future, Ms. Bruno hopes to continue thriving in her present position while supporting her team and the businesses with which she works.
