George Richard Aloysious (“Dick”) Milne, retired vice president of purchasing at Delta Faucet Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the manufacturing industry.
With several decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Milne has cultivated a career of excellence as a proven business professional. Since 1970, he operated within Delta Faucet Company in Indianapolis and Detroit, originally joining as a purchasing agent for the plumbing products division and ultimately rising to the position of vice president of purchasing. An expert in sales and management, he held many similar positions with brands such as the American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corp., Masco, and Leisure Group Inc. Prior to beginning his career, Mr. Milne honorably served in the United States Air Force between 1955 and 1958.
After attending St. Aloysious Military Academy, McNicholas High School and Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School, Mr. Milne pursued a formal education, achieving a Bachelor of Science in business and commerce at the University of Louisville in 1963 after initially studying at the University of Cincinnati. He also attended the University of Wisconsin, where he received certification in purchasing and economics also receiving those certifications from the University of Texas, New York University City College, and Western Reserve. Having taught senior economics at Pike High School and purchasing at IUPUI, he previously served as the president of the National Association of Purchasing Management. In his civic-minded endeavors, he remains active as a member of the National Alliance of Businessmen and the board of directors of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA). In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his dedication to his profession and ability to create positive relationships with his clients.
