Additionally, he focuses on building communities with computing students and collaborating with a network of government officials, corporate partners, and community organizations to enhance the ecosystem and provide internship opportunities. He also worked in cloud computing and learning development at Google, where he trained internal consultants in Google Cloud.

Mr. Williams’ experience also includes roles as technical enablement lead at Google from 2020 to 2023, TEALS regional program manager at TEALSK12 from 2016 to 2020, learning and development consultant as an independent consultant from 2013 to 2020, program manager at Microsoft from 2005 to 2012, business manager and web platform architect evangelist at Microsoft from 2005 to 2010, and senior manager of data center operations at Interland Inc. from 1999 to 2005. He also built 24 wells in Ghana since 2012, with the 25th well commissioned in June 2024. His certifications include Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect from Google, Google Cloud Digital Leader from Google, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect from Google, and Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services Inc.

Reflecting on his path, Mr. Williams is part of Microsoft’s TEALS Program and has successfully led over 50 vendors and 4,000 students toward a brighter future. He also imparted his knowledge to over 200 teachers from over 100 schools, empowering them to teach computer science effectively. During his tenure at Google, he and his team developed innovative programs that earned them recognition, including the Career Jumpstart Program, which provided individuals with tools to obtain certifications like the Associate Cloud Engineer Certification. Another notable program was an internal technical training initiative. Both programs earned them two coveted Stratosphere Awards. Currently serving as the senior director of programs and community engagement at CodePath, he has also been instrumental in making a significant impact. One of his major accomplishments is his successful engagement with six universities in adopting technical interview preparation courses. His CodePath E3 Program has been adopted by two universities in Atlanta and two in Miami, with full program integration. The courses are now credit-bearing, and a student community has been created to support career readiness.

Mr. Williams attributes his success to a combination of factors, including perseverance, a bit of luck, and being acutely aware of opportunities as they arise. He believes that his ability to capitalize on these opportunities stems from his proactive positioning. He also highlights that his teaching experience has been instrumental in shaping his interactions with others and his approach to work. In the coming years, he hopes the CodePath E3 program he co-created will be adopted nationwide, integrating technical interview preparation into every student’s educational journey. He envisions a future where the number of technology professionals in the United States increases to meet the growing demand in the industry. His ultimate goal is to make a significant impact in the field of technology, and he firmly believes that the CodePath E3 program will be pivotal in achieving that.
