Additionally, he was group president of the technology solutions and products group at NANA, Akima, Qivliq from 2004 to 2011, senior vice president of the Oracle division at DLT Solutions, now TD SYNNEX Public Sector, from 2000 to 2003, president of ABYAN from 1998 to 2000, and vice president of marketing communications and eCommerce at GTSI from 1996 to 1998. He also founded and served as president and chief executive officer of TerraGlyph Interactive from 1994 to 1996, was president and chief executive officer of ICOM Simulations, and senior vice president of Viacom New Media at Viacom from 1992 to 1994.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Defensor was vice president of systems integration at Falcon Microsystems in Maryland from 1989 to 1992, worked as an associate attorney at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP from 1988 to 1989, a law clerk at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Washington DC from 1987 to 1988, and held roles as a proposal writer and manager at Falcon Systems and Falcon Microsystems from 1984 to 1987. Additionally, he authored “Harnessing the Power of the Industrial Internet for Government,” published by Government Computer News in 2015. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Beloit College, and completed a full certificate in records management and electronic records management at The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, a Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, and certificates in capturing federal business, managing federal proposals, and writing federal proposals from Shipley Associates.
