With nearly two and a half decades of experience, Mr. Escutia Soto has built a successful career in information technology and system integration. He currently serves as the principal information systems architect at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a role he has held since 2024. In this position, he gathers customer requirements, collaborates with internal business units to develop tailored solutions, ensures systems run smoothly, and proactively addresses potential issues. His experience also includes roles as systems architect and site reliability engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from 2020 to 2024, senior resident engineer in 2019, and chief experiments officer at La Rebelion Labs since 2022. He also served as chief system architect for IoT at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from 2016 to 2018, part of the leadership team at Servicios SINCO S.A. from 2015 to 2016, and co-founder and chief executive officer at ESSO Technologies from 2014 to 2015.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Escutia Soto held positions as solutions architect at Comptel from 2013 to 2014, chief executive officer and founder of SSINCO from 2006 to 2013, and co-founder of WiCan from 2009 to 2012. He also worked as a solutions architect at Hewlett-Packard from 2010 to 2012, ITC professor at ITESM in 2010, and real-time charging consultant for HP and SSINCO at Telcel from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, he was a solution architect at e-NS, SSINCO for HP at Movilnet from 2007 to 2008, a provisioning and activation consultant for Telefonica Chile, SEC Colombia Movil, and Hewlett-Packard between 2002 and 2007, and web developer for Triara, Telmex, and Hewlett-Packard from 2001 to 2002. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Instituto Tecnologico de Morelia in 1999, followed by a master of science in information technology from the same institution in 2002. He also holds several certifications, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in 2022, 19 certifications from LinkedIn between 2019 and 2024, nine certifications from Lynda.com from 2017 to 2019, and an inbound certification from HubSpot in 2015. Reflecting on his path, he is proud of founding his own company before joining HP. His performance as chief executive officer of his startup led HP to hire him directly. He is also proud of his recent projects with HP, where they work with cutting-edge technologies in the industry. He attributes his success to passion and persistence, and, in the coming years, he hopes to pursue another entrepreneurial venture, as he greatly enjoyed his previous startup experience and is eager to create a new company and products where he can contribute his expertise.
