Ford “Fuchang” Wang, director of manufacturing, operations and execution at Stealth Startup, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in technology and AI infrastructure.
With nearly two decades of experience, Mr. Wang has established a successful career in technology, specializing in AI infrastructure. Since 2024, he has served as director of manufacturing, operations, and execution at a stealth startup in the AI data center industry. Stealth startups operate in secrecy, protecting ideas and strategies during their early stages. Prior to this, he was director of engineering at Hyve Solutions from 2020 to 2024, where he oversaw strategic planning for real estate, construction, infrastructure, and facility management. He led a global team to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, cost, and automation, while maintaining lean practices and safety standards. Additionally, he managed CAPEX and OPEX analyses, property acquisitions, and new site setups, optimized space utilization, and developed 24/7 maintenance plans. During his tenure, his leadership ensured smooth product launches and the successful integration of automation and robotics technologies, driving continuous operational improvement.
From 2014 to 2020, he served as senior manager of manufacturing, operation, and engineering at Inspur Systems, reporting directly to the chief executive officer. He oversaw facility management, engineering, quality, warehouse operations, production, and planning. He led the establishment of new factories, made real estate decisions, managed construction and system upgrades, and integrated advanced shop floor systems. His role also involved driving automation initiatives, managing key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimizing inventory. Earlier, as manager of manufacturing, operation, and engineering at IBM in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, from 2008 to 2014, he reported to the senior vice president and managed engineering, quality, warehouse operations, production, and planning. He spearheaded factory setups, real estate transactions, and the implementation of automation technologies. Additionally, he managed KPIs, negotiated with contract manufacturers for the South China market, and oversaw contract manufacturing, capacity planning, and tooling setup.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wang held positions as NPI engineer, outsourcing engineer, package designer, and EMI specialist from 2005 to 2008, where he honed his technical expertise and gained experience in diverse areas of manufacturing and engineering. He laid a solid educational foundation, earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Xiangtan University in 2005, and achieved a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. His accomplishments include being interviewed by China CCTV in 2017, receiving the Crystal Award at Inspur in 2015, and earning recognition for excellent student union leadership at Xiangtan University in 2005.
Mr. Wang credits his success to his commitment to ongoing learning and self-improvement, as well as his ability to foster collaboration and leverage team strengths. In the coming years, he aims to advance within his company, securing a high-level executive position. In the long-term, he aspires to establish and operate his own business, drawing on his expertise and leadership experience.
