Earlier in his career, he held positions such as customer service manager from 2017 to 2019 and district sales leader from 2016-2017 at PepsiCo, and marketing intern at Netvibes in 2015. He was also field manager at Environment America in 2015, sales representative at Bay Direct in 2015, and assistant coordinator at the YMCA in 2012. He also dedicates his time serving as a volunteer for Penn State THON from 2013 to 2016, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in 2015, and contributing to local community initiatives.
Laying a solid educational foundation, he completed coursework with IES Abroad in 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing with a focus in sustainability from Penn State University in 2016. He also completed a data analytics certificate from Cornell University in 2019. He is also a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has been honored with Leadership Recognition as a Leader of the Mosaic ERG at PepsiCo and recognized as a Subject Matter Expert for Continuous Improvement at Walmart.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Dansby joined Walmart at a pivotal moment when both he and the company were navigating uncharted waters. Notably, he played a crucial role in launching a new facility, participating in the ceremonial ribbon cutting as it officially opened. His contributions were key in developing the standard operating procedures, which became integral to the business’s operational success. At PepsiCo, he excelled in sales leadership and operations, with a standout achievement being the successful launch of a new go-to-market strategy for PepsiCo in California, a strategy that remains in use today. In recent years, he celebrated the successful completion of his first year as an independent player in e-commerce with the Sacramento Kings, surpassing sales goals and overcoming challenges in his new role.
Mr. Dansby attributes his success to the resilience and determination instilled by his family, which has inspired him to continue a legacy of bravery and progress. Grateful for the opportunities he has had, he is committed to building a better future for the next generation. Looking to the future, he aspires to become a prominent figure in the NBA’s commerce sector, expanding his network across teams and ultimately making his company, Nojersey, a household name. He envisions the platform as a tool for athletes of all levels to document and showcase their journeys, empowering athletes worldwide. In addition, he plans to build a basketball court for the community and is focused on personal growth. His short-term goal is to make the Sacramento Kings’ e-commerce platform the top in the NBA, a target he believes is achievable. Long-term, he aims to start his own sports business and develop an app that helps average athletes create highlight reels for sharing and college recruitment opportunities.
