Laying a strong educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Edward’s University in 1977 and a Master of Business Administration from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in 1990. He holds certifications as a retail real estate professional and as a certified retail property executive from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Additionally, he has contributed to the field as an author of “Finance for Shopping Center Non-Financial Professionals, Second Edition,” and “Best Practices in Shopping Centers.”
Mr. Lamy also dedicates his time serving as a board member for the University of Holy Cross, Operation Smile, and Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Real Estate Companies, the Institute of Real Estate Management, the Urban Land Institute, and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Reflecting on his path, he takes great pride in receiveing the ICSC Trustee Distinguished Service Award in 2004. In his role with the organization, he leads multiple task forces, initiatives, and research projects. He has also been a sought-after speaker at international conferences, including the U.S. Law Conference for Commercial Real Estate, and has contributed to professional development as dean of the Finance and Accounting program at the Wharton School and the University of Southern California.
