Mr. Boykin’s primary responsibilities include analyzing sales data and market trends, assessing the company’s position in the market, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers and service providers to ensure quality and efficiency in operations.
Beginning his career in 1997 as an engineer with Bay Networks, Mr. Boykin advanced, earning roles with Belenos as an account executive in 2000, Quest Communications as a senior technical account manager in 2001 and McAfee, one of the most widely-recognized security companies, as a senior account executive in 2004. Among other noteworthy opportunities, he was employed by Lumension as the vice president of federal sales and held the title of senior sales executive at FireEye Inc. Most recently, Mr. Boykin spent over five years as the vice president of the U.S. public sector at Venafi Inc., a computer and network security company based in Salt Lake City. His expertise in engineering, business development and sales were instrumental in his ability to acquire executive positions.
Throughout his career, Mr. Boykin has garnered tremendous success as a leading salesperson. He also profoundly boosted performance and drove revenue, driving multi-million-dollar growth for multiple organizations. Among his most significant achievements was during his time at Securify, a company he launched in the mid-2000s that was subsequently acquired by McAfee. This pivotal time helped launch Mr. Boykin’s career, resulting in him acquiring numerous executive-level positions.
Highly educated, Mr. Boykin graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, a Master of Science in management, and an international Master of Business Administration. His education has significantly impacted his career progression.
Besides his full-time commitments, Mr. Boykin has been instrumental with Tithe.ly as a chief information security officer advisory board member. Civically, he has been affiliated with organizations like Just 1 as an executive director and Rock Church as its chief technology officer. Mr. Boykin’s dedication to the community has extended to volunteering on mission trips to Nepal, Belize and South Africa. Furthermore, he is recognized as a life member of the Harley Owners Group, an organization that represents freedom, camaraderie and community.
