Jeffrey Drake Kennedy, corporate trainer and owner of Helping Other People Excel (HOPE), has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in human resources management.

Mr. Kennedy’s career has been driven by a personal journey to overcome adversity. He went from not having fully developed reading comprehension until the age of 16 to successfully pursuing higher education, reflecting a commitment to personal growth even when it’s difficult. Mr. Kennedy’s progress is reflected in his work as a corporate trainer at Helping Other People Excel (HOPE), an organization he has owned since 2014. Through this company, he provides conflict resolution services, mediation, conflict management, teamwork support and more. Mr. Kennedy utilizes tools such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to enhance self-awareness and improve interpersonal relationships with clients. He has established himself as a reliable source of leadership development and communication training.

This chapter of Mr. Kennedy’s professional life is built on a foundation of 15 years of military service. He served as a human resources manager for the U.S. Army from 2010 to 2025. Mr. Kennedy’s responsibilities in this role have included overseeing the educational advancement of military officers. He takes great pride in supporting his military colleagues as they pursue PhDs and master’s degrees. Outside of his work with the Army, Mr. Kennedy has gained further experience as a corporate trainer with the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, where he guides adult students in enhancing their skills for a competitive job market. He has previously contributed as an instructor at Spencerian College and as a public-school teacher in Miami.

Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Kennedy has created several nonprofit organizations and businesses that work in concert with HOPE. Most notably, he is the founder of You Cannot Be What You Cannot See, a group that aims to instill principles of self-care and self-development in Kentucky youth. Providing mentorship opportunities, Mr. Kennedy devotes time to helping young people recognize the vast opportunities that exist around them. Through You Cannot Be What You Cannot See, he also organizes an annual Veterans Day celebration, which includes a free concert and an awards program honoring military veterans in the community.

In addition to his work with You Cannot Be What You Cannot See, Mr. Kennedy has supported a number of other meaningful initiatives. He sponsors events through Hope Academy for Kids and is a contributor to various housing initiatives to aid homeless individuals. Invested in his faith, Mr. Kennedy is a member of the Heritage International Christian Church. He also maintains membership in the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, a nonprofit that encourages collective philanthropy in the state.

Both Mr. Kennedy’s military career and his wider civic engagement have been backed up by his academic achievements. He obtained his first master’s degree in organization management from the University of Phoenix in 2005. Subsequently, Mr. Kennedy earned another master’s degree in conflict management from Sullivan University in 2012, followed by a third master’s degree in human resources leadership in 2015. He is certified in conflict resolution and as a mediator.

Outside of his primary vocation, Mr. Kennedy is a loving husband, a father to five and a grandfather to six. He enjoys exercising, fishing, listening to jazz music and attending sports events. Mr. Kennedy’s goals for the future are focused on helping as many people as possible through HOPE. He wants to provide people with the tools to meaningfully change their circumstances and take control over their lives. Eager to expand his influence, Mr. Kennedy has also started writing a series of books based on the lessons he’s learned in the military and through HOPE. He also intends to complete further certifications to increase his skills and knowledge.
