Mr. Rendon’s leadership in these positions was instrumental in the successful acquisition of their polyethylene terephthalate (PET) technology by Nestlé, a testament to his innovative approach and strategic vision that remains the highlight of his career. His efforts during this time were defined by his commitment to sustainable practices and technological innovation. His work has not gone unnoticed, garnering Timeplast recognition as the Most Innovative Plastic Manufacturing Company by The Enterprise World in 2025 and Business of the Year in the technology category by Chemical Industry Review in 2023.

In terms of his professional philosophy, Mr. Rendon is a firm believer in the vital opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive in the field of material science, as many of his contemporaries have directed the entirety of their focus toward digital solutions to forthcoming problems. He is convinced that there is a necessity for innovation and growth in material science, which he cites as inspired by philosopher Francis Bacon, who stated, “Nature, to be commanded, must be obeyed.” As a reflection of his own dedication to his discipline, Mr. Rendon has obtained seven patents valid across 20 countries.

Prior to his tenure at Timeplast, Mr. Rendon excelled as the national environmental coordinator for PepsiCo in Venezuela, based in Plano, Texas from 2014 to 2016. During this period, he was celebrated with the Best Practices Award by PepsiCo for his contributions to environmental sustainability initiatives. Mr. Rendon’s stellar work with PepsiCo laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors in environmental technology.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Rendon initially pursued an education at the Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira in Venezuela, from which he graduated with an engineering degree in environmental engineering technology in 2012. He also completed coursework in business administration and management at IESA. His education has been pivotal in shaping his career, providing him with both technical expertise and managerial acumen. Mr. Rendon was able to provide his wealth of knowledge to a larger platform in his field after being awarded a National Interest Visa from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

In addition to his primary accomplishments, Mr. Rendon is involved with civic-minded organizations such as East Coast Believers Church and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These affiliations reflect his commitment to giving back to the community and supporting causes that align with his values. Mr. Rendon attributes much of his success to his upbringing in Venezuela, which instilled a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and a drive to operate at a higher level than many of his peers.

Mr. Rendon’s personal interests include photography, gaming, and playing musical instruments, pursuits that offer him creative outlets beyond his professional life. Looking toward the future, he is spearheading a groundbreaking project aimed at improving various aspects of life, including urban development and transportation. Additionally, he is committed to constructing the first-ever polar reactor for polymerization in the United States.
