Anne Ayers, Businesswoman, Estate Administrator, Counselor, and President and Founder of Appalachian Love Arts, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fields of education, administration, and counseling.
Passionate about people and driven by the desire to make a positive difference in others’ lives, Ms. Ayers has certainly accomplished this goal throughout the course of her lengthy career. She has served as a court-appointed probate estate administrator for the states of Maryland since 2010, of California and Washington since 2008, and has been the president, manufacturer and seller of her patented items for Appalachian Love Arts since 1981. Her myriad previous positions include, but are certainly not limited to, director of Chapman University Aerospace Defense Command Residence Education Centers in North Dakota (ND) and Montana (MT); education services specialist for the National Aeronautics Space Administration Headquarters; education specialist for the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beckley, West Virginia, and for the U.S. Army Transportation School in Fort Eustis, Virginia; evening psychology instructor for Chapman and Hampton universities; counselor; teacher for grades kindergarten through 12 in the Berkeley County School District; and businesswoman.
For her accomplishments, Seattle Pacific University awarded her Alumnus of a Growing Vision for the Century in Education. In preparation for her various roles, Ms. Ayers earned a Bachelor of Arts in research psychology, speech pathology and audiology from the University of Kansas in 1970 and an MEd in counseling/guidance psychology and educational administration from Seattle Pacific University in 1971. Furthermore, she has completed PhD-level coursework in education and psychology from the College of William and Mary, and from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and is a civilian graduate of the U.S. Army Transportation Officer Basic Program.
In addition to these numerous accomplishments, Ms. Ayers is a photographer whose work has been published in five books of the International Library of Photography. She wrote “Introduction of Varying Amounts of Inhomogeneity in a Ganzfield,” “Educational Feasibility Study of Computer Uses in MSHA,” “Developing Criterion-Referenced Instruction Based on Valid Job Performance Analysis” for MSHA, and “Educational Cost-effectiveness of Two Methods of U.S. Army Training” for the IInd International Symposium for the Prevention of Risks in the Mining Industry. Ms. Ayers wrote 29 widely used on-the-job training mine safety books, and is the author of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health “Pneumoconiosis” booklet. Ms. Ayers will continue writing and plans to write a book on the numerous times that God has saved her from deadly situations, such as being buried alive in an avalanche, among other near-death experiences, as she knows she has a great earthly purpose.
As a testament to her success, Ms. Ayers has been featured in the third editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business and of Millennium magazine, and on its cover, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who Among Human Services Professionals, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
