A defining moment in his career occurred at Tessy Plastics when he led a project that successfully returned a major account to the client Alcon. Before founding his current company in 2026, Mr. Larmer served as a quality assurance engineer at Tessy Plastics from 2025 to 2026 in Elbridge, New York. There, he was instrumental in restoring lost accounts and implementing zero-defect processes that elevated the company’s status as supplier of choice. Between 2017 and 2019, Mr. Larmer held the position of lead supplier quality engineer at SAAB, where he managed supplier development initiatives for complex manufacturing projects.
Between 2015 and 2017, Mr. Larmer was a quality engineering supervisor at BorgWarner Inc. in Tompkins County, New York, overseeing quality assurance protocols for automotive components. In 2014 and 2015, he worked as a supplier quality manager at PPC Broadband Inc. in East Syracuse, New York, where he managed supplier relationships and ensured compliance with industry standards.
From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Larmer contributed as a supplier quality engineering supervisor at CONMED Corporation in the Utica-Rome area of New York, leading teams focused on medical device manufacturing excellence. Earlier roles included supplier quality and development engineer at The Raymond Corporation and supplier quality development engineer at Toyota Material Handling North America. At Toyota Material Handling U.S.A. Inc., he was part of an elite team trained by Japanese mentors under the guidance of Dr. Deming’s philosophies, an experience that shaped his rapid problem-solving abilities. Mr. Larmer began his career as a quality engineer at Diemolding Corporation in 1997, where he spent over 10 years.
Mr. Larmer’s educational background includes an Associate of Applied Science in mechanical engineering technology from SUNY College of Technology, completed in 1997. He later acquired a Bachelor of Applied Science in industrial engineering, cum laude, from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in 2009. Recognized for academic excellence early on, Mr. Larmer received the highest grade point average for the mechanical engineering curriculum and was named to the National Dean’s List Student Registry.
In addition to his primary education, Mr. Larmer secured several professional certifications, including as a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor-trainee through OASAS Leadership Academy and accreditation as a clinician by the Office of Mental Health and Office of Substance Abuse Services in New York. These credentials reflect his commitment not only to technical excellence but also to addressing broader societal challenges, such as mental health advocacy, a subject on which he has been interviewed by news media.
Throughout his career journey, Mr. Larmer has been actively involved with leading industry organizations. He served as the treasurer for the Mohawk Valley chapter of the American Society for Quality and held membership with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Mr. Larmer’s civic engagement included participation in events such as the Heart Run & Walk, organized by the American Heart Association Inc., involvement with Run for Recovery through Helio Health Foundation and volunteering with mental health treatment services at community centers across New York.
Among numerous accolades received throughout his career, Mr. Larmer received multiple Letters of Recommendation from Tessy Plastics’ leadership team. Outside of work, he won the Commodore Cup for sailboat racing, an achievement reflecting his passion for maritime pursuits.
Mr. Larmer attributes his success to unwavering persistence rooted in Irish heritage, a refusal to give up even when faced with adversity and an ability to build highly effective teams united around common objectives.
