Amlan Sanyal, specialist master in finance and enterprise performance at Deloitte, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance and technology.
For nearly 20 years, Mr. Sanyal has devoted himself to an extensive career in the fields of finance and technology, beginning in 2006 as a trainee assistant systems engineer at TATA Consultancy Services Limited in his home country of India. Quickly establishing his credentials at this company, he was promoted to application developer and support analyst in 2006 and business analytics operations manager in 2010. During Mr. Sanyal’s 15 years with TATA Consultancy Services, he also contributed as a financial planning subject matter expert, project manager, Hyperion technical lead, program manager, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) consultant, delivery manager and business relationship manager. It was during this lengthy tenure that Mr. Sanyal immigrated to the United States. Among his many accomplishments while at TATA Consultancy Services, Mr. Sanyal gained experience with the technology needs of clients across a range of businesses, with a particular focus on global metals and mining organizations. He developed and demonstrated expertise in coding, business analytics, application development, cloud integration, information technology (IT), cybersecurity and more.
In 2022, Mr. Sanyal joined Deloitte, where he has since served as a specialist master in finance and enterprise performance. In this position, he creates solutions to challenges and opportunities related to financial planning, budgeting and forecasting. Mr. Sanyal is currently participating in a major multiyear initiative collaborating with one of the world’s largest cruise lines. He works together with a team distributed across two continents in order to develop and deliver essential new enterprise resource planning tools.
Among his many accomplishments throughout his professional life, Mr. Sanyal recalls one noteworthy occasion where he went above and beyond to complete an urgent request from a chief financial officer. He was brought on to create a dynamic cost analysis solution under a challenging deadline for a top-ranking courier company. Working on a team of only two, Mr. Sanyal was able to put together a complex technological solution in just one month. He earned commendations from the chief financial officer and senior management for his success with this difficult project.
Mr. Sanyal’s esteemed performance in the field was born of his academic journey. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of Calcutta in 2003. Subsequently, Mr. Sanyal earned a second bachelor’s degree in technology focused on radio physics and electronics from the University of Calcutta’s Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics in 2006. He has been certified as a professional Scrum master, an Oracle Hyperion Planning 11 implementation specialist, an Oracle Essbase 11 implementation specialist, an Oracle Hyperion Essbase 7.1.2 consultant, an Oracle expert,and a model builder through Anaplan Inc.
Noted for his achievements in the field, Mr. Sanyal has been the subject of a number of accolades. Most notably during his time at Deloitte, he has been presented with the Applause Award for delivering impactful engineered solutions for cost analytics and the Employee Award for streamlining financial processes and improving sales analytics.
In addition to his work life, Mr. Sanyal is a loving husband and father to one son and one daughter. He dedicates much of his time outside of his career to reading books and supporting his children in their endeavors, including his son’s advancements in taekwondo and his daughter’s gifted artistry in music. Outside of continuing to encourage his children to pursue their aspirations, Mr. Sanyal is focused on becoming a recognized leader in the world of financial technology, especially as artificial intelligence transforms the field. He is committed to collaborating across industries to gain a multifaceted and evolving perspective on the rapid changes the world of finance is experiencing. Mr. Sanyal also hopes to step into a senior leadership position within Deloitte or another leading firm.
