Nancy E. Oloughlin, general manager of The Saint Augustine Beach House, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in hospitality.
Ms. Oloughlin has built an esteemed reputation for strong leadership throughout her professional life. Her administrative excellence was first displayed as an assistant director for the Kids at Play Early Childcare Center at Plantation United Methodist Church. Recognized for her capabilities, Ms. Oloughlin was eventually promoted to director of the operation, after which she led the organization in efforts to obtain Gold Seal status from the Florida Department of Education. During this time, she also contributed as a member of Plantation United Methodist Church’s finance committee and church council.
Building on her commitment to keeping children safe and healthy, Ms. Oloughlin later took on the position of administrator for Creeks Athletic Association. This organization supports a variety of youth sports, helping kids learn new skills, gain confidence, play safely and discover the importance of teamwork. Ms. Oloughlin also held the role of kids coach at DRiV Fitness, a CrossFit gym in St. Augustine, Florida. Through this assignment, she was able to bring together having fun and physical fitness, teaching children lessons in hard work that they would carry into their futures.
Culminating her career to this point, Ms. Oloughlin has served as the general manager of The Saint Augustine Beach House since 2018. She manages day-to-day operations for this hotel, reporting directly to the owner. Ms. Oloughlin is also trusted to track finances, oversee marketing efforts and generally run all departments. Additionally, she and her husband founded their own business, Intrepid Investment Partners LLC, in 2025, through which they invest in apartment buildings.
In support of her professional endeavors, Ms. Oloughlin set a foundation in her education. She earned an Associate of Science in business from Farmingdale State College, part of the State University of New York system. Along with the essentials of running a business, Ms. Oloughlin learned how to be a team leader during this time. She considers her strong social skills, patience and ability to implement clear procedures to be elements that set her apart from others in her field.
Ms. Oloughlin has garnered a number of accolades in celebration of her hard work. Most notably, The Saint Augustine Beach House was given the Tripadvisor Traveler’s Choice Award, demonstrating her success in delivering a high degree of quality through the hotel. Alongside working full-time, Ms. Oloughlin is a loving mother to five boys. She considers her ability to raise a family while progressing her career to be her most noteworthy accomplishment. When considering the sources of her success, Ms. Oloughlin credits her commitment to being a good person who fights for others. She prioritizes authenticity in all her interactions, which has aided her in the service industry and in identifying the best employees to hire for her team.
Outside of working hours, Ms. Oloughlin finds fulfillment from hiking, camping, traveling, attending her sons’ sports events and playing the cello. She has played the cello and served as a treasurer for the St. Augustine Orchestra since 2015. As she moves forward, Ms. Oloughlin plans to balance her responsibilities at The Saint Augustine Beach House with the expansion of her new business. Her goal is to build generational wealth that can support her and her family for many years to come.
