Mr. Dillard is recognized for his successful career in the food and sales industry, marked by a series of progressive leadership roles and a reputation for expertise in building relationships and navigating the complexities of the field. Since 2024, he has served as a national sales director at Goo Goo Cluster in Nashville, Tennessee. In this capacity, Mr. Dillard manages four brokers and plays an integral role in customer presentations to secure new distribution opportunities. He is also responsible for reviewing sales reports and developing innovative ideas for new customer offerings, drawing on his extensive industry knowledge to adapt seamlessly to evolving market demands.
Recruited to Goo Goo Cluster after serving as the director of development at Goodpasture Christian School in Madison, Tennessee, Mr. Dillard’s tenure spanned from 2019 to 2023. His contributions significantly increased the school’s fundraising efforts, elevating annual contributions from $250,000 to between $500,000 and $1 million. His strategic approach and commitment to relationship-building were instrumental in achieving these results.
Between 2015 and 2019, Mr. Dillard excelled as the director of sales at Campofrio Food Group in South Chesterfield, Virginia. In this role, he refined his skills in sales management and client relations, contributing to the company’s growth and expanding its market presence. Mr. Dillard’s formative experience as a stockboy at a grocery store in Madison, Tennessee, sparked his passion for the grocery and food business, laying the foundation for his future achievements across various manufacturers and brokers.
Mr. Dillard’s professional journey has been complemented by several notable accomplishments outside the traditional business sphere. He officiated college and high school basketball for 30 years and was twice selected to work the Tennessee High School State Tournament finals. Moreover, he was chosen to officiate college basketball playoffs.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Dillard earned an associate degree from Volunteer State Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Almeda University. He also completed a certificate program in public policy at Vanderbilt University. These academic achievements provided Mr. Dillard with a strong foundation in business principles and public affairs that have supported his professional success.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Dillard has been actively involved with several civic organizations. He was a server for Meals on Wheels America, a mentor for First Tee Nashville and a volunteer with a church recovery group. His dedication to sports included serving as the president and coach for Madison Titans Football, coaching for Little League International and Babe Ruth League Inc., and working in an administrative capacity for various sports leagues, reflecting his commitment to youth development and community engagement. Furthermore, Mr. Dillard was a councilmember on the Metropolitan Nashville & Davidson County City Council, where he focused on youth initiatives and public safety.
Mr. Dillard’s contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, including honors from college basketball officials’ associations and Middle Tennessee basketball associations. He was also named as the Referee of the Year for high school basketball and was inducted into the High School Hall of Fame by Nashville County Schools for his combined service as an elected official and referee.
