Kristi Porter, chief impact officer at Vector Global Logistics, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting, marketing and nonprofits.
Having been professionally active for more than 25 years, Ms. Porter has positioned herself as a leader in the worlds of marketing and consulting while also increasingly leaning in to her passion for nonprofit work that benefits the world. Her journey started in 2002 as an account manager for The Reynolds Group, now doing business as Phase 3 Marketing and Communications. At this boutique PR firm, Ms. Porter wrote press releases, newsletters and articles and managed marketing for clients primarily in the hospitality and lifestyle industries. Quickly proving herself, she became director of communications for the Captain Planet Foundation in 2008, overseeing all marketing efforts for a company devoted to funding environmental protection projects.
In 2010, Ms. Porter became even more active in the nonprofit space as she volunteered as an adviser and marketing strategist for The Freedom Collective, a religious organization fighting human trafficking. During this time, she gained a deeper understanding of the business side of charitable organizations and the need for that business side to be well-managed. That same year, Ms. Porter accepted the role of event marketing director for Orange, a nonprofit division of The ReThink Group, where she spent five years creating annual marketing plans and collaborating with every side of the organization, from executives to logistics to social media. To further develop her career alongside her full-time work, she offered her services as a freelance writer, consultant and communications strategist for over 10 years beginning in 2003.
Beginning in 2020, Ms. Porter joined Vector Global Logistics as the vice president of sales and marketing. In the years since then, she has been promoted to chief marketing officer and her current role of chief impact officer. Ms. Porter’s responsibilities are centered on helping the company maintain B Corp certification, signifying a commitment to transparency and high standards of social impact. Additionally, since 2021, she has served as the co-host of “Logistics With Purpose,” a Vector Global Logistics-sponsored podcast on the Supply Chain Now network that explores the intersection of the logistics and civic fields.
Concurrently with her other work at this time, Ms. Porter founded her own company, Signify, in 2016, where she has given herself the position of chief do-gooder. Through Signify, she partners with nonprofits and other cause-focused organizations to offer her expertise in strategic growth. Ms. Porter has partnered with a wide range of clients through her company, including the Atlanta Dream Center, Be the Bridge, Habitat for Humanity Chicago, Horizon Services Inc., Street Grace, the True North Freedom Project and Vector Global Logistics. She also plans to volunteer as a team member for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
Ms. Porter’s performance in her professional endeavors was born of her academic journey. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in business communication and corporate communications from Lubbock Christian University in 1999.
Outside of her primary vocation, Ms. Porter loves traveling and pet sitting. She has set a personal goal of visiting all 50 states and each of Canada’s provinces. Turning to her career, Ms. Porter looks forward to continuing her efforts to help people and organizations to do good in the world. She intends to actively look for more opportunities to make a positive impact.
