Over the past 15 years at Tiercel Ventures, LLC, Mr. Scott’s leadership has been instrumental in building and guiding high-performance management teams, a professional achievement he regards as his most significant. Under his direction, two of his companies were recognized on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies, underscoring his ability to drive organizational growth and operational excellence.
Beyond his work at Tiercel Ventures, LLC, Mr. Scott has excelled in various other positions. From 2021 to 2025, he served as the president, chief executive officer, board director and senior strategic adviser at VitalTech®, where he contributed to the company’s strategic direction and governance. He previously held the title of chief operating officer for ArroHealth in 2015. Earlier, he was the general manager of the national health care practice at Perficient Inc. from 2013 to 2014.
Mr. Scott also served on various boards and in other capacities with companies like MediSpend and Archaia Entertainment LLC. Additionally, he served as a board director, president, and chief executive officer at PointRight from 2016 to 2021, during which he was responsible for steering the company through pivotal growth phases.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Scott was the president and chief operating officer of Matrix Medical Network from 2007 to 2010. He also excelled as the president, chief executive officer and board director at American Physicians Inc. between 2001 and 2006. In each of these positions, Mr. Scott demonstrated a unique ability to collaborate with providers, vendors and payers across the health care spectrum to enhance efficiency, a distinguishing factor that sets him apart from peers who may focus on a single segment.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a focus on exercise science, health planning and administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1986. That same year, he was commissioned in the U.S. Navy. He served on active duty for over five years before joining the reserves and ultimately retiring as a commander in 2008. Mr. Scott’s military background instilled discipline and leadership skills that have been integral throughout his civilian career.
Mr. Scott credits his college coursework with sparking his interest in health care, a field that balances business acumen with a commitment to caring for those facing unique challenges such as affordability and access to services. He attributes his subsequent success to the satisfaction he derives from helping others, whether by assisting them in understanding their insurance bills or connecting them with appropriate providers, and to his determination to solve complex problems that make a tangible difference in others’ lives.
