From 2022 to 2025, she served as a senior manager of engagement and social media at Great Pet Care, part of Covetrus. During this period, she managed high-profile social media accounts, including Dogs of Instagram and Dogs of TikTok, each with millions of followers. She also developed a Give Back program that raised nearly $100,000 annually for shelter dogs. Through impactful videos she produced, Ms. Bergquist helped numerous dogs find permanent homes.
From 2020 to 2022, Ms. Bergquist served as the social community manager and customer service lead for the mobile team at Great Pet Care, a Covetrus brand. She previously began her career in the pet industry at Barkly Pets in 2019 as a customer experience specialist and marketing and blog strategist. The company’s acquisition by Metamorphosis Partners LLC during the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent acquisition by Covetrus significantly shaped Ms. Bergquiest’s professional trajectory.
Earlier roles Ms. Bergquist held include consumer services specialist at Via Transportation Inc. from 2017 to 2019, content writer at Content Karma from 2017 to 2018, and freelance writer for Brooklyn Grooming from 2015 to 2017. These formative experiences provided her with valuable insights into customer engagement and content creation.
Ms. Bergquist has held a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, since 2015. She is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including The Poetry Society of New York since 2010 and the American Civil Liberties Union since 2019. Her commitment to civic engagement includes volunteering as a dog walker for Animal Haven and supporting local green spaces through volunteer work with the Parks Department.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bergquist has created notable projects. One of them was the animal rescue fundraising program at the New York City Poetry Festival, a successful initiative that supported both festival operations and animal rescue efforts. She has also held leadership roles within The Poetry Society of New York. Furthermore, Ms. Bergquist’s creative output has included various dog rescue videos that have reached millions of viewers as well as multiple poetry manuscripts.
