Mr. Pandya’s professional journey in health care management spans more than a decade, marked by progressive leadership roles and a reputation for operational excellence. Since 2024, he has served as the vice president of operations at Physician Directed Partners, an innovative ophthalmology and ambulatory surgery center management services organization, where he manages all clinic and surgery center operations in Atlanta, Georgia. In this capacity, Mr. Pandya oversees the organization’s comprehensive operations, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Before his current role, Mr. Pandya was the regional director of operations at Physician Directed Partners from 2022 to 2024. During this period, he was influential in restructuring operational frameworks, establishing bonus structures and leadership training programs, and implementing best practices that drove organizational growth.
Employed at the Milan Eye Center between 2016 and 2021, Mr. Pandya excelled as the director of operations. This tenure stands out as a highlight in his career due to his transformational leadership during a period of significant expansion. Mr. Pandya was pivotal in expanding both operations and the number of surgery centers. Under his oversight of revenue cycle management and, later, full operational management, the practice expanded to seven clinics, six surgery centers, nearly two dozen physicians and nearly 200 employees. The organization achieved approximately over 25% annual growth in clinical encounters and over 20% growth in revenue, supported by strategic payer engagement and operational discipline.
Mr. Pandya’s impact at Milan Eye Center was rooted in maintaining uncompromised patient care across all locations and fostering an employee-centered culture. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he ensured no layoffs occurred and led the creation of MEC University. This internal training platform enabled recruitment and development of individuals from nonclinical backgrounds, many of whom went on to pursue careers in medicine.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Pandya served as an operations manager and management analyst at Alliance Spine and Pain Centers from 2013 to 2016. In this role, he contributed to process improvements and helped drive the strategic acquisition and merger of the practice. Mr. Pandya also worked for Meditab Software Inc. between 2007 and 2012, initially as an implementation project manager and then as a manager of implementation services. He began his career in 2004 as an AR executive at Boavista Business Solutions, which allowed him to develop foundational skills in business processes and client relations.
Mr. Pandya’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in analytical chemistry from Sardar Patel University in Vallabh Vidyanagar, India, completed in 2001. He then earned a Master of Business Administration from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India, in 2003. Mr. Pandya’s academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping his analytical approach to problem-solving and strategic decision-making within complex health care environments.
Active in his professional community, Mr. Pandya is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development within the field. Civically, he maintains lifelong involvement with BAPS, a global social-spiritual charitable organization. After relocating to Atlanta in 2013, he continued his service by volunteering with BAPS Charities’ administrative wing for the Southeast region, which oversees over 30 centers.
Crediting his early development to his mother’s encouragement to participate in speech, drama and elocution activities, these experiences strengthened Mr. Pandya’s communication skills and confidence. He also attributes his success to finding fulfillment in helping others grow personally and professionally and focusing on sincere effort rather than outcomes.
Looking ahead, Mr. Pandya aims to expand his leadership impact within the health care industry by pursuing senior-level roles at large medical groups and staying aligned with technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence, while continuing to contribute operational expertise to the broader community. His journey reflects resilience, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to service.
