Since 2023, Mr. McLeod has served as the president of Reeves Young, based in the Atlanta Metropolitan area, where he oversees operations across five offices and collaborates closely with business presidents and unit leaders across all four sectors. In this capacity, Mr. McLeod provides strategic direction to business units, manages client relationships, and leads pursuits for new clients and key projects. As a corporate representative, he communicates daily with offices and business units to ensure alignment with the company’s vision while supporting its mission and strategic objectives.
Before his promotion to president, Mr. McLeod was the senior vice president at Reeves Young from 2021 to 2023. During this period, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory by guiding teams through complex projects and fostering an environment of accountability and collaboration. Mr. McLeod’s leadership style emphasized empowering team members to take ownership of their responsibilities while cultivating a culture where individuals genuinely enjoyed working together.
Hired by Reeves Young in 2015, Mr. McLeod spent over five years as the vice president and director of business development. In this dual capacity, he was instrumental in expanding the company’s client base and securing high-profile projects. Mr. McLeod’s ability to identify individuals’ strengths and align them with organizational needs contributed significantly to building high-performing teams that consistently delivered exceptional results.
Before joining Reeves Young, Mr. McLeod excelled as the director of business development at Balfour Beatty Construction from 2012 to 2015. Based in Dallas, Texas, Balfour is recognized as an industry-leading provider of general contracting, at-risk construction management, and design-build services for both public and private sector clients nationwide. This opportunity allowed Mr. McLeod to leverage his industry knowledge to drive business growth and establish lasting partnerships with clients across diverse market segments.
Mr. McLeod’s earlier tenure at The Potts Company spanned more than a decade. His career at the organization began in 2000 as a project manager, where he honed his technical skills and developed a keen understanding of project delivery from inception through completion. He was named director of construction and finance in 2007, overseeing project execution and financial management. From 2008 to 2012, Mr. McLeod served as the director of business development, responsible for identifying new opportunities and nurturing client relationships.
In preparation for his future, Mr. McLeod earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering technology from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia, in 1999. This academic foundation provided him with the technical expertise necessary for success in construction management and infrastructure development. Mr. McLeod further distinguished himself by obtaining several certifications. He is a LEED-accredited professional, holds project management certification and program management certification, and holds estimating certification.
Mr. McLeod’s professional affiliations reflect his commitment to advancing industry standards and best practices. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Associated General Contractors of America, the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Construction Management Association of America and, among others, the Design Build Institute of America. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. McLeod is civically engaged as a supporter of North Gwinnett Co-operative and Friends U Need Club Inc., also known as The FÜN Club. He also serves on the boards of the Madison City Police Foundation and Metro Atlanta Chamber Member organizations.
Among Mr. McLeod’s most notable professional achievements was his leadership on the Camp Twin Lakes project from 2019 to 2022. Under his guidance, 32 buildings were constructed on a 100-acre campus dedicated to providing specialized summer camp experiences for children with special needs. The project included the creation of a large zero-entry ADA pool, enabling children with disabilities to fully participate in camp activities. This initiative not only showcased Mr. McLeod’s commitment to community impact but also left a profound personal impression on him through the meaningful connections formed with campers and their families.
Mr. McLeod’s contributions have been recognized through prestigious honors, such as being named one of Georgia Trend’s Most Influential People in Georgia for both 2025 and 2026. He attributes his success to his unique ability to inspire individuals to engage wholeheartedly in their work, especially tasks that may initially seem unexciting or insignificant, by helping them recognize how every contribution supports overall team achievement.
