Attributing more than 20 years of experience in the business consulting sector, Mr. Chakrabarty has established himself as an expert in program and transformation management. Over the past two years in his current role as a consulting manager at Deloitte beginning in 2024, he has overseen a multimillion-dollar engagement with JPMorgan Chase. In this capacity, he manages the blockchain payments platform and leads a team of approximately 100 professionals. His responsibilities include understanding client needs at a strategic level, breaking down complex problems into actionable tasks, organizing teams across multiple work streams and ensuring daily objectives are met. Mr. Chakrabarty’s leadership has made him a sought-after manager for high-profile projects within the firm, while his team’s top-10 placement in a global JPMorgan hackathon has further elevated his standing both internally and externally.
Previously, from 2021 to 2024, Mr. Chakrabarty served as an application modernization and innovation program manager at Deloitte. During this period, he directed modernization initiatives for major clients and contributed to the firm’s reputation for delivering innovative solutions. Mr. Chakrabarty’s earlier tenure with the City of New York included roles as a management consultant in 2019 before being promoted to senior project manager from 2020 to 2021. In these positions, he provided guidance on large-scale public sector technology projects.
Mr. Chakrabarty also worked for Canon U.S.A. between 2015 and 2019, hired as a senior business analyst and earning progressive roles that included scrum master, project manager and technology product owner. During this time, he also served as a business mentor with IdeaGist from 2016 to 2017.
In 2015, Mr. Chakrabarty co-founded Politik Inn (now Electifi), a startup focused on civic engagement that gained significant traction under his leadership before he paused involvement due to visa constraints and other factors. That same year, he managed information systems for art and public policy at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU) and served as a startup mentor for Global Management Consulting Partners, Inc. Mr. Chakrabarty’s diverse background also included working as a digital product manager at Fresh Digital Group in 2015.
Employed by IBM for several years, Mr. Chakrabarty served as a product management consultant from 2012 to 2013 and then as a product line manager of DataPower Gateways at IBM until 2014. His career began with Tata Consultancy Services Limited in various capacities between 2005 and 2011, including information security analyst trainee, project management office analyst, data analyst, team lead and business analyst. Mr. Chakrabarty also held early roles as a customer care representative at Customer First Marketing Services in 2005, following a summer internship at the Computer Society of India in 2004 and as a sales associate at Source One Software in 2002.
Mr. Chakrabarty’s academic background has been instrumental in shaping his expertise. He received a Bachelor of Technology in information technology from West Bengal University of Technology (now Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology) in Kolkata, India, in 2005. He then completed a Master of Information Systems Management at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2012 and a Master of Science in integrated marketing from NYU in New York City in 2019.
Throughout his career journey, Mr. Chakrabarty has taken pride in earning more than 10 industry-recognized certifications that demonstrate his commitment to staying current with evolving technologies. These credentials have enhanced his credibility among clients and stakeholders while enabling him to address fundamental challenges effectively and build high-performing teams. Among Mr. Chakrabarty’s most recent certifications are Databricks Fundamentals Accreditation from Databricks, FinOps Certified Practitioner from both FinOps Project and a Series of LF Projects, LLC, and GRC: Integrated Risk Management Implementation Training from ServiceNow, all acquired in 2025. Others include SAFe Agilist certification from Scaled Agile Inc., a project management professional credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI), Inc., numerous certificates through LinkedIn Learning, and the completion of specialized training programs, such as microelectronics technology and VLSI design at Jadavpur University.
Mr. Chakrabarty’s professional affiliations reflect his commitment to industry advancement. He is an active member of the New York City chapter of PMI, the Expert Agile Club and the Circle of Intrapreneurs. Earlier in his career, he was a founding member of the Institute of Engineering and Management chapter of SAE International during his undergraduate studies.
Mr. Chakrabarty’s thought leadership extends beyond corporate achievements into speaking engagements, such as serving as a keynote speaker at the Global Digital Marketing Summit in 2018. Additional distinctions included serving as a panel member for the Wasserman Center for Career Development at NYU in 2016.
A strong advocate for civic responsibility, Mr. Chakrabarty has contributed as a donor or volunteer to organizations such as Northwell Health, The Southern Poverty Law Center, Hurricane Sandy Relief through IBM and the New York Blood Center. He has also participated in the City of Hope’s five-kilometer walk event supporting medical research initiatives.
Recognized through several honors, Mr. Chakrabarty was named the Heinz Alumni of the Month by Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon University, received multiple Applause Awards and an Outstanding Performance Award from Deloitte, was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Bharathi Institute of Management and Foreign Studies, and received a Certificate of Appreciation for student development efforts at the Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, along with numerous other accolades throughout his distinguished career. Furthermore, Mr. Chakrabarty was listed among the Top Digital Professionals in New York by Roberto Liccardo’s “Marketing Growth Secret” published in 2017 and featured in the preface of “The Art of Startups” by Edoardo Maggini in 2020.
Looking ahead, Mr. Chakrabarty is committed to advancing to higher leadership roles within Deloitte or other organizations while continuing professional development inspired by the late basketball star Kobe Bryant’s growth-mindset philosophy.
