Previously, Dr. Andosca served as an adjunct professor of mechanical engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology since 2017. He began his career as a co-founder of microGen Systems Inc., a piezo-MEMS vibration energy harvesting (pVEH) component company.

Dr. Andosca holds multiple patents showcasing his expertise in microelectromechanical systems and energy harvesting technologies. These inventions cover a range of innovations in various piezoelectric devices, energy harvester devices, micro-shutter arrays, and vibrational energy harvesting systems. These contributions underscore his expertise and impact in advancing technology in the fields of energy harvesting and microelectromechanical systems.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Andosca has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized as a runner-up for Start-Up of the Year and received the Engineering Team of the Year award at the Sensors Expo in 2014, presented by SEMI’s MEMS & Sensor Executive Congress. Additionally, he was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame by the University of Vermont in 2015, selected for inclusion in multiple editions of EE Times’ Silicon 60 from 2013 to 2016, and recognized as one of the 25 Hottest Silicon Valley Startups by Quora.com in 2014.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Andosca actively contributes to various initiatives. He mentors for FIRST Robotics, serves as an assistant troop leader for the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts of America, and is involved in the energy harvesting committee of the Power Sources Manufacturers Association. Additionally, he holds leadership roles as an executive director on the management board and chair of the strategic operations board for MANCEF.

Mr. Andosca attributes his success to the invaluable support and encouragement of his parents and recognizes the pivotal role of hard work and persistence in his achievements.
