Hannah C. Murphy, DHA, FACHDM, director of operations excellence at Providence Clinical Network, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
With over a decade of experience, Ms. Murphy has established a successful career in health care, specializing in operations and leadership, process improvement, program development, and human dynamics. Since 2023, she has excelled as the director of operations excellence and clinical outreach services at Providence Clinical Network. In this role, she guides and oversees initiatives that benefit the greater Providence area, including all affiliated states and medical groups, and has formal ownership of all clinical outreach services, ensuring efforts to reach patients across all states for care, guest closure, and follow-up fall under her purview. She also supervises the centralization efforts, particularly the transition to the healthcare 2.0 model and the incorporation of AI to enhance the patient experience. Her primary focus is converting legacy phone systems to cloud-based structures within centralized contact and access hubs, ensuring patients’ consistent, high-tech experience regardless of where they seek services. Additionally, she manages access data portfolios, determines key metrics, creates dashboards, and holds regional chief operations officers accountable for their performance.
Ms. Murphy’s experience includes serving as the regional director of patient access for Puget Sound at Providence Clinical Network from 2022 to 2023, director of operations at Providence Swedish from 2020 to 2023, clinic administrator III at Providence Swedish from 2018 to 2020, and held several leadership positions at Kaiser Permanente, including TPMG surgical support services manager II from 2017 to 2018, manager II from 2016 to 2017, manager from 2015 to 2016, project manager in 2015, senior staff assistant from 2014 to 2015, and staff assistant from 2012 to 2014. She also worked in administration at the offices of Harrison, Chou, and Paul from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, she is a Fellow of the American College of Health Data Management since 2023 and a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success since 2020. She also served as a board member of Women Health Care Executives from 2014 to 2018.
Ms. Murphy laid a solid educational foundation with a Bachelor of Science in health science from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2010, followed by a Master of Public Health from Capella University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2015. She further advanced her education by earning a Doctor of Healthcare Administration, specializing in leadership advancement, from Capella University, also summa cum laude, in 2022. Additionally, she has been recognized on the Presidential List at Capella University and is Mental Health First Aid Certified.
Ms. Murphy attributes her achievements to the influence of numerous resolute female mentors and leaders she has encountered during her career. Her unwavering drive is evident in her perpetual pursuit of personal and professional growth and steadfast commitment to avoiding complacency. She has been fortunate to achieve substantial personal and professional growth with the invaluable support of her husband. His unwavering support has enabled her to pursue and attain her doctorate while managing a demanding workload. Without his support, it would have been nearly impossible for her to juggle such extensive responsibilities. In the coming years, she aspires to secure a position in the C-suite of a prominent medical group.
