John Chung, co-founder and chief executive officer at Connex Brothers Consulting Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting.
With two decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Chung has built a successful career in consulting, specializing in global trading and investment, corporate strategy and finance, and business and partnership development. He currently serves as co-founder and chief executive officer of Connex Brothers Consulting Group, a role he has held since 2024, where he oversees management, makes daily business decisions, and steers the company’s overall direction. Additionally, he presents the business model to stakeholders and advises clients in sales, marketing, business operations, and finance. His previous roles include president and chief executive officer of DIO USA Corporation from 2019 to 2024, senior vice president and global chief strategy officer at DIO Corporation from 2018 to 2019, and vice president of global business development and chief strategy officer at DIO Corporation from 2016 to 2018. Earlier in his career, he served as senior global business manager at Samsung C&T Corporation from 2004 to 2015. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree in natural science and chemistry from Hanyang University in 2004, an Executive Master of Business Administration from Seoul National University in 2016, and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Chung achieved an impressive eightfold profit and loss (P&L) growth for the U.S. dental implant business at DIO USA Corporation, while also establishing strategic partnerships with Patterson Dental and Heartland Dental. At Samsung C&T Corporation, he led an elevenfold P&L growth for the mining chemicals trading business, securing the No. 1 global ranking in trading volume. Additionally, he played a key role in obtaining International Cyanide Management Code Certification for Korean mining chemicals manufacturers. He has also contributed to the field through written works, including “AI Technology-Based Business Intelligence System Development,” published with DIO USA Corporation in 2023, his master’s thesis, “Strategy Innovation for Global Mining Chemicals Business,” completed at Seoul National University in 2016, and his bachelor’s thesis, “Energy of Benzene Structural Isomers,” completed at Hanyang University in 2004.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Chung was honored with the Annual Speaker Award from the American Academy of Digital Dentistry, and at Samsung C&T Corporation, he earned several prestigious awards, including the Business Excellence Award, the Samsung Excellence Award, the Outstanding Achievement Award for the company’s foundation anniversary, the Creative Learning Organization Award, and the New Employee Onboarding Excellence Award from Samsung Group. In the coming years, he plans to expand Connex Brothers Consulting Group by leading the product team and investing in high-potential companies. His goal is to nurture and develop these businesses with the aim of guiding them toward an initial public offering or a successful exit through a private equity firm. He will also focus on building the core competencies and ensuring the sustainable growth of each company he serves, whether as a client or investor.
