Having begun his career in the late 1980s, Mr. Pelizzoli worked for companies like PaineWebber, where he rewrote outdated technology that was based on a programming language, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch as a systems architect and senior associate, respectively, and TIBCO as a chief technological officer of financial services. Continually progressing, Mr. Pelizzoli was hired as a senior vice president, global head of architecture and chief architect at Broadridge. Among other high-level positions, he served as the executive vice president, chief technology officer of enterprise architecture, and chief operating officer of international real-time payments at Mastercard. He also started his own global integration company, Glen Tech. During his tenure at Mastercard, Mr. Pelizzoli improved operations for Vocalink, which saw revenue growth from $100 million to $1.1 billion and expanded its market reach significantly.
In 1996, Mr. Pelizzoli secured a U.S. patent for distributed messaging. Among numerous other accomplishments, he is most grateful that some of the systems he built two decades ago still run smoothly today. Mr. Pelizzoli’s expertise in integration and large-scale applications has been pivotal to his success in the field. Besides his work-related accomplishments, he coached women’s soccer for over 15 years, which he found rewarding. He has also generously supported various nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity and Doctors Without Borders. In the coming years, Mr. Pelizzoli hopes to continue excelling, democratizing payments and making them accessible to everyone while developing software that can be downloaded nationwide and automatically integrated with their systems.
