Helen H. Rosario, PE, MBA, head of Americas and global research and development and workplace solutions at Haleon, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in industrial engineering.
Ms. Rosario’s extensive professional life began over 30 years ago as an engineer for Baxter Healthcare in her home territory of Puerto Rico. In 1996, she joined Hewlett-Packard for a 14-year tenure, starting as an environment, health and safety engineer. Soon after, Ms. Rosario was promoted to quality engineer, later shifting to a variety of managerial roles, including production manager, lab services manager, and engineering manager. She oversaw and improved on processes and products in Hewlett-Packard locations in Puerto Rico and Singapore. Ms. Rosario eventually rose to the position of global program manager, focusing on worldwide ink and large format supplies. She played an important part in introducing new products, leading to more than $50 million in profit.
Moving on from Hewlett-Packard in 2010, Ms. Rosario became a program manager at Pall Life Sciences, where she assisted in transferring the organization’s business unit from California to Puerto Rico. Building on her experiences, she took on the role of executive adviser to the vice president of the Puerto Rico Aqueduct & Sewer Authority. In 2013, Ms. Rosario started a nearly 10-year stretch with Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis (CBRE), a global investment and real estate business. She joined CBRE as the geographic public relations lead and later filled such positions as technical services director for safety, efficiency, and asset optimization, director of facilities, and alliance director. From there, Ms. Rosario contributed as the group director of worldwide real estate and facilities (WREF) in the Americas for the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline. She later became of the WREF head of Americas for GlaxoSmithKline’s consumer health care business, further establishing her leadership skills.
Since 2022, Ms. Rosario has served as the head of Americas and global research and development and workplace solutions for Haleon. Based in the United Kingdom, Haleon is a multinational health care goods company known for brands like Advil, Centrum and Sensodyne. Ms. Rosario’s skills have been utilized at Haleon to aid the company in the management of major construction projects, as well as technical engineering and leadership concerns. She prides herself on maintaining her passion for working in the service of others around the world.
Ms. Rosario first sought an education at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering in 1991. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Business Administration in industrial management and human resources from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 1999. Showcasing her dedication to continuous personal development, Ms. Rosario has sought further training throughout her career. She is certified as a project manager professional, a green belt in Lean Six Sigma, a professional engineer, and an executive woman in leadership through Cornell University.
Long devoted to civic advocacy, Ms. Rosario gives back to the wider community in numerous capacities. She supports causes such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure and St. Jude’s Research Hospital. Ms. Rosario has offered her time and resources as a mentor for Jóvenes de Puerto Rico en Riesgo, and as the coaching and mentoring program director for the Association of Latino Professionals for America. Since 2007, she has led fundraisers and volunteered as a meal server for Inciativa Comunitaria, a Puerto Rican nonprofit organization focused on health and education for marginalized populations in the region, including drug users, homeless people, and those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Rosario is a loving wife and mother to two children. In her free time, she finds fulfillment in cooking, reading, traveling and dancing. Looking to the future, Ms. Rosario hopes to continue making a significant impact in every organization she’s a part of while creating something positive for the world at large. She also intends to do more mentorship work with hopes of helping the next generation of leaders reach their full potential. Ms. Rosario also intends to transition to a nonprofit organization at some point after finishing her career in the private sector.
