Mr. Brooks embarked on his career in the health care industry at the age of 19 as a certified pharmacy technician at University Pharmacy and Equipment in 1995. His initial aspiration to become a pharmacist evolved into a passion for health care technology, leading him to explore various roles within the field. Nearly 30 years later, Mr. Brooks is the vice president of product solutions at Catalyst Health Group in Plano, Texas. Hired in 2024, his goal is to drive innovation, operational excellence, and efficiency in patient care and product solutions through technology solutions and value-based care initiatives to enhance health care delivery.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Brooks worked for several companies, all contributing to his success and expertise in the field. Following his initial role as a pharmacy technician, he became an operations manager at GBS, a B2B solutions provider in Fort Worth, Texas, where he honed his skills over a decade before transitioning to KIG Healthcare, a company specializing in practice management and electronic medical records applications, in 2006 as the manager of EPM implementations. Following the acquisition of KIG by GBS in 2011, Mr. Brooks served as an account manager in health care operations until 2012.
Mr. Brooks joined Tenet Healthcare, a publicly traded health care services company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, as a senior national director of clinical informatics and operations, where he was instrumental between 2012 and 2024. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in consolidating over 15 electronic health record systems into one cohesive platform for approximately 3,700 physicians, a feat he considers his most significant professional achievement.
Mr. Brooks’s educational journey is marked by his return to academia at the age of 47 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in health care administration from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, graduating in 2024. His commitment to lifelong learning is further evidenced by his numerous certifications from Canvas Credentials (Badgr) and NextGen Healthcare.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Brooks is deeply involved with the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation as a supporter and volunteer. He also serves as a worship leader at his church, a role he has held for two decades, demonstrating his dedication to community service and personal faith. Outside of work, Mr. Brooks enjoys cycling and road biking as well as reading and continuous self-improvement, both professionally and personally.
In recognition of his contributions to the field, Mr. Brooks has received several accolades, including the Capstone Excellence Award from Western Governors University in 2024 and multiple employer-sponsored honors such as Employee of the Month. He attributes much of his success to the strong work ethic instilled by his father and his unwavering faith.

As he looks to the future, he aims to expand his expertise in artificial intelligence and direct primary care delivery at Catalyst Health Group, endeavors that promise to further enhance patient experiences and operational efficiencies within the organization.
