Ms. Morton has established herself as a distinguished leader in the security and investigations sector, demonstrating four decades of expertise across federal law enforcement and global corporate environments. In 2025, she founded HaloPoint Investigations and Security Solutions, where she serves as the founder and primary consultant. In this capacity, Ms. Morton provides risk management and threat assessment services, collaborates with executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making, analyzes the evolving security landscape, identifies potential threats and addresses workplace violence. Her work is characterized by a commitment to organizational resilience and the development of programs that both mitigate risks and foster talent within the industry.
Before launching her own firm, Ms. Morton was the senior vice president and chief corporate security officer at UnitedHealth Group from 2023 to 2025. There, she led comprehensive security initiatives for one of the world’s largest healthcare companies, focusing on crisis management, insider risk and executive protection, while ensuring the safety of over 440,000 employees across more than 130 countries. Ms. Morton is particularly proud of her ability to guide teams through crises while prioritizing their well-being and professional growth. She has consistently championed mentorship and sponsorship within her teams, believing that nurturing diverse perspectives strengthens organizations and drives innovation.
From 2022 to 2023, Ms. Morton held the role of vice president and chief security officer at RTX, where she oversaw global corporate security operations for the aerospace and defense conglomerate. Her tenure included directing the security integration following the Raytheon–UTC merger. Between 2019 and 2020, Ms. Morton served as the vice president and chief security officer at United Technologies Corporation (now RTX). In this position, she advanced enterprise-wide security strategies during a period of significant organizational transformation.
Earlier, Ms. Morton excelled as the chief security officer and head of global security at HP Inc. from 2016 to 2019. During this time, she was instrumental in directing international physical security operations and other efforts for the technology leader.
Ms. Morton’s career began in federal law enforcement in 1986 as a federal agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in Long Beach, California. After three-and-a-half years stationed in Japan, she returned to Washington, D.C., where she specialized in investigations involving women and children as victims and provided dignitary protection for prominent figures such as Yitzhak Rabin and Oliver North. This foundational experience shaped Ms. Morton’s expertise in investigations, physical security and executive protection. Subsequently, she worked for companies like Amoco/BP, as well as for Bill and Melinda Gates’s estate, and Merck & Company.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Morton earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a focus on criminal justice administration from California State University, Chico, in 1986. She also completed coursework toward a master’s degree in sociology and criminal justice administration on campus before accepting her initial appointment with NCIS.
Ms. Morton maintains active membership in several leading professional organizations, including the Domestic Security Alliance Council, ASIS International, the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, the International Security Management Association and the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science. Beyond her professional commitments, she has contributed to civic causes through involvement with Humane World for Animals, formerly the Humane Society of the United States, and Habitat for Humanity International.
Throughout her career, Ms. Morton has developed recognized proficiency in many areas of her field, from physical security, executive protection and investigations to insider risk management, workplace violence prevention and global corporate security operations. Her achievements have been acknowledged by industry peers through honors such as being named one of the Top 15 Chief Security Officers to Watch by WashingtonExec Inc., inclusion among the Top 10 Influential Women in Leadership in Connecticut, and recognition among the Top 50 Women Leaders of Hartford, Connecticut.
Ms. Morton credits her success to the opportunities afforded by mentors and sponsors who believed in her potential.
