In 2026, he assumed the role of president at NanoFUSE Biologics, where he continues to leverage his expertise in corporate strategy and executive leadership to support medical device innovation.
Before his latest position at NanoFUSE Biologics, Dr. Crous excelled as the president and chief executive officer at Biostone Co. Ltd., guiding the company through pivotal growth phases and strategic initiatives between 2023 and 2025. He previously lent his expertise as a business development director at RTI Surgical, now Evergen, starting in 2021, where he played a key role in expanding the organization’s market presence and fostering innovation within the surgical solutions industry. Dr. Crous’s earlier tenure as the vice president of business development at TOMZ Corporation from 2020 to 2021 also helped solidify his proficiency in driving organizational growth and executing high-impact sales strategies.
Between 2017 and 2020, Dr. Crous held the position of strategic sales director and marketing specialist at Altus Spine, where he was instrumental in developing comprehensive marketing campaigns and strengthening client relationships. He also spent an extensive period at Innovasis as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing from 2005 to 2014, where he was responsible for overseeing sales operations and implementing effective marketing strategies that contributed to the company’s sustained success.
A significant milestone in Dr. Crous’s career was the establishment of My Goal – Your Success!® as both president and chief executive officer in 2002. As the founder of this consulting firm, he has specialized in executive coaching, leadership turnaround and business recovery, working closely with executives, chief executive officers, vice presidents and presidents across various industries. Under Dr. Crous’s guidance, the firm achieved notable recognition for its impact on personal and professional development. Among his most distinguished achievements during this period was leading a startup company through its acquisition for over $200 million, a testament to his acumen in business consulting and strategic leadership.
Dr. Crous’s earlier career included serving as a country manager for Medtronic in South Africa from 1998 to 2002. Functioning in a role similar to chief executive officer, he gained extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development within the medical device sector. Dr. Crous also held the position of vice president of sales and marketing at a medical device startup prior to launching his consulting practice.
In addition to his corporate roles, Dr. Crous has been actively involved in education, lecturing at a business school in South Africa for over five years, demonstrating his commitment to fostering knowledge and growth within the business community. His career foundation was built upon service in the South African military from 1981 to 1985, an experience that instilled discipline and resilience, which continue to inform his approach to leadership.
Dr. Crous’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pretoria, an Executive Master of Business Administration in corporate strategy from the University of West London, and a Doctor of Philosophy in corporate strategy from Washington International University. He also holds several professional credentials that complement his professional pursuits, including being a certified international coach in professional life and executive coaching by the International Coach Academy, and with a life insurance license from the insurance department of the state of Utah.
Outside of his primary work, Dr. Crous is the founder of Executives of The Round Table, an exclusive international mastermind group, further exemplifying his dedication to leadership development. The membership organization focuses on deriving more effective ways to add value to oneself and the organizations in which they affiliate, as well as how to implement such strategies to achieve results. Dr. Crous is also an active member of industry organizations, such as the International Coaching Federation and the National Speakers Association. Moreover, he is recognized as an accomplished author, having published “Mission Possible: Strategies and Competencies of Successful Corporate Turnaround Executives” through Trafford Publishing in 2007.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Dr. Crous enjoys running competitively, having participated in more than 70 full marathons and 40 half marathons over the years. His ability to compete comes after a significant experience overcoming Perthes disease during childhood, which serves as a testament to his mental toughness and resilience.
