Mr. Shumsky’s professional journey began as a journeyman with Flatirons Plumbing in 2015.
Mr. Shumsky’s distinguished military service as a squad leader 0311 in the U.S. Marine Corps at 29 Palms, California, from 2010 to 2014 stands as a cornerstone of his career. The discipline and determination forged during these years continue to shape Mr. Shumsky’s leadership style and business philosophy.
Mr. Shumsky moved to Connecticut during his final year of high school to live with his father, a pivotal decision that set him on a path toward personal growth and eventual military service at his father’s encouragement. In addition to completing coursework at Front Range Community College in Westminster, Colorado, where Mr. Shumsky also received an emergency medical technician certification, he acquired a welding certification to support his current work.
Reflecting on his career progression, Mr. Shumsky attributes his success to the determination and resolve instilled by his U.S. Marine Corps service. He operates with unwavering focus and directness, principles learned during that time, which he applies daily in business operations and leadership decisions. Mr. Shumsky’s father, Noel Shumsky, served as both mentor and inspiration throughout his life.
Looking ahead, Mr. Shumsky intends to establish Core-X Steel as one of the top leaders in skids and industrial manufacturing. He envisions the company becoming synonymous with quality and durability, so customers know they are purchasing products backed by integrity and American craftsmanship. Mr. Shumsky’s goal is to grow the business further while maintaining its commitment to supporting employees’ families and upholding traditional standards of excellence.
