Mark W. Glasmire, Vice President of Capital Projects and Maintenance at Mini Mall Storage, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in multiple fields.

Mr. Glasmire has cemented an esteemed reputation in the construction and self-storage industries, building on more than three decades of firsthand experience and leadership. His expertise is widely recognized, particularly in the development and management of self-storage facilities, where he has become a respected authority.

In 2025, Mr. Glasmire founded MWG Consulting, LLC, where he currently excels as the owner and principal consultant. Through this venture, he provides specialized guidance to clients in the self-storage sector, drawing on his extensive background to assist with market analysis, site selection, facility design and construction, as well as project management from concept through certificate of occupancy. He also develops conceptual plans and budgets and collaborates closely with investment teams and operations partners. Mr. Glasmire takes particular pride in this achievement, having advanced from challenging beginnings as a ditch digger to owning a successful consulting company.

From 2022 to 2024, Mr. Glasmire served as the vice president of capital projects and maintenance at Mini Mall Storage. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in the aforementioned company’s rapid expansion across the United States and Canada. When he joined Mini Mall Storage in May 2022, Mini Mall Storage managed 33 properties in the United States and 62 in Canada. Under his leadership, the U.S. portfolio grew to 255 properties while Canadian holdings remained stable. He was instrumental in enhancing first-generation storage facilities through projects such as painting, door replacements and site expansions.

Mr. Glasmire managed all aspects of project delivery and was deeply involved in preparing his successor for a seamless transition upon his retirement at the end of 2024. Although retired from full-time duties, he continues to contribute to Mini Mall Storage on an hourly basis.

Prior to his tenure at Mini Mall Storage, Mr. Glasmire served as construction management specialist at Extra Space Storage from 2015 to 2022. In this role, he oversaw nationwide self-storage development for one of the largest real estate investment trusts in the country. His responsibilities included managing large-scale construction projects and ensuring operational excellence across multiple sites.

From 1995 to 2011, Mr. Glasmire found success as a construction manager at Public Storage, where he directed numerous demolition and excavation projects and contributed significantly to the company’s growth within the self-storage industry. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience working with Shurgard Self-Storage after initially entering the field by responding to a job advertisement that aligned with his need for storage space during a move from Nashville to Pennsylvania. For two decades prior to these roles, Mr. Glasmire worked for Samuel G. Glasmire and Sons, his father’s construction company based in Pennsylvania. During this time, he developed foundational skills as a licensed blaster specializing in demolition and excavation work, including laying sewer and water pipes.

In addition to his achievements in construction and storage facility management, Mr. Glasmire has maintained a parallel career as a performing singer and songwriter since 1976 with Traceway Records. He supported himself through college by performing in clubs and bars — a testament to his persistence and work ethic.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Glasmire earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in business administration and management from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. The discipline instilled during his academic pursuits provided him with essential business acumen that has underpinned his success across multiple ventures.

Throughout his career, Mr. Glasmire has been recognized for maintaining strong relationships with supervisors who valued his contributions — an advantage that facilitated advancement within both established corporations and emerging enterprises like Mini Mall Storage. He attributes much of his professional growth to persistence and a strong work ethic learned from his parents who emphasized the value of hard work from an early age. Beginning with demanding tasks at his father’s excavating company in Bethlehem, he developed resilience that propelled him through increasingly responsible positions within major real estate investment firms focused on self-storage.

Civic engagement is also central to Mr. Glasmire’s life. He is an active donor, volunteer and supporter of Habitat for Humanity International, contributing time and resources toward affordable housing initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Glasmire supports Combat Marine Outdoors, reflecting a dedication to giving back to those who have served.

Mr. Glasmire’s journey from labor-intensive beginnings through executive leadership exemplifies dedication to continuous improvement and service — qualities that have defined both his professional accomplishments and personal pursuits. Looking toward the future, he aims to continue growing creatively with aspirations of achieving a hit record.
