Moreover, she leads global risk oversight across Pfizer sites and third-party partners, collaborating with cross-functional teams and market leaders in approximately 140 global markets to ensure consistent compliance and risk management practices.

As a good manufacturing practice (GMP)-certified auditor, Ms. Gardner also consults in the compliance space. She leverages her expertise in compliance systems and auditing to provide auditing services for controlled substances.

Before her current role, Ms. Gardner was the global controlled substance audit lead at Pfizer Inc. from 2024 to 2025. Her expertise in auditing controlled substances and ensuring strict adherence to U.S. regulations and international standards, as well as in pre-Drug Enforcement Administration inspections and Code of Federal Regulations requirements, has positioned her as a key resource for compliance within the organization.

From 2022 to 2024, Ms. Gardner served as the U.S. logistics service provider quality operations manager at Pfizer Inc. During this time, she was responsible for maintaining high standards of quality assurance throughout the supply chain. Ms. Gardner previously excelled as part of Pfizer’s transportation quality assurance team during the COVID-19 pandemic between 2021 and 2022. She played an integral role in the global distribution of the vaccine, liaising with international health authorities and customs officials to facilitate successful navigation through various boards of health and customs checkpoints worldwide. Ms. Gardner’s efforts were instrumental in ensuring that vaccines reached regions outside the U.S. efficiently and safely.

Ms. Gardner’s earlier tenure at Pfizer Inc. included roles as instrumentation engineering project supervisor from 2018 to 2021. Before joining the pharmaceutical company, she enjoyed a distinguished career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps between 2013 and 2018, retiring with the rank of captain. Ms. Gardner’s military service was driven by a longstanding passion for serving her country, initially aspiring to join the U.S. Navy before finding her calling with the U.S. Marine Corps through participation in Reserve Officers’ Training Corps during college. The discipline, leadership skills and resilience developed during her military career have been foundational to her subsequent professional achievements.

Ms. Gardner’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering from Purdue University, completed in 2013. She also obtained a master’s degree in engineering management from North Carolina State University in 2022. During her undergraduate work, Ms. Gardner participated in the Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program with the American Society for Engineering Education in 2012. In addition to her formal education, she is a GMP-certified auditor through the International Organization for Standardization.

Committed to advancing women’s leadership in science and healthcare, Ms. Gardner maintains active membership in the Association for Women in Science and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She is also civically engaged as a mentor with American Corporate Partners, supporting veterans transitioning into corporate careers. Additionally, Ms. Gardner volunteers at Montessori School and Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ms. Gardner’s success is rooted not only in technical expertise but also in personal qualities honed through military service. Mentorship has also played a significant role in her development, and she maintains strong relationships with previous leaders who continue to provide guidance and support beyond their direct working relationships.
