With nearly two decades of experience, Ms. Crow has built a successful career in consulting. She currently serves as the founder and consultant at Courageous Learning LLC, which she established in 2024. The company focuses on delivering tailored training solutions with an emphasis on service industries. Her primary goal is to provide customized training across various fields, with a special interest in health care, particularly rural medicine. Courageous Learning LLC’s training approach is centered around “right skilling,” which goes beyond up-skilling and re-skilling by providing the most appropriate training based on individual and industry-specific needs. The courses are designed to be versatile, covering a range of topics from soft skills like workplace accountability to practical skills such as basic bookkeeping. The company also provides customized training tailored to the specific needs of businesses, such as onboarding programs with personalized content from leadership.
Courageous Learning LLC offers both micro-courses, which focus on specific concepts in short sessions, and comprehensive courses that include quizzes and assessments. Ms. Crow is also exploring the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the learning experience. Ms. Crow’s experience also includes serving as principal, chief human resources officer, and chief compliance officer at PrimeStone Learning from 2018 to 2024, and as a contract corporate trainer at The University of Texas at Austin from 2011 to 2021. She was previously active as the chief executive officer and thinking strategist at Operational Strategies from 2004 to 2018, director of health information management at nThrive from 2016 to 2017, and senior HIM consultant at nThrive from 2006 to 2009. Ms. Crow has also dedicated her time as past president of the Texas e-Health Alliance, the San Antonio Medical Group Management Association, and the Texas Health Information Management Association, and has been affiliated with the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Laying a solid educational foundation, Ms. Crow earned a Bachelor of Science in health information management from Texas State University in 1986 and a Master of Science in industrial and organizational psychology from Capella University in 2011. Her certifications include SHRM-SCP from the Society for Human Resource Management and Registered Health Information Administrator from AHIMA. She attributes her success to her unwavering determination and her public speaking skills. In the coming years, she has plans to expand the business. She is currently engaged in discussions with potential investors, seeking to elevate the company to a level that surpasses the current capacity enabled by her business partner. Her long-term vision is for the company to gain significant recognition, prompting potential acquisition by a larger corporation in the next decade.
