Christopher Hurja, Owner at Grey Guardian LLC and Safety Education Instructor and Consultant at Guardian Training & Consulting, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Firearms Safety and Consulting.

Mr. Hurja’s expertise is the culmination of a distinguished career marked by a commitment to operational excellence and team development. Since 2026, he has served as the owner of Grey Guardian LLC, where he oversees instruction in firearms safety, preparedness and emergency response. Through this venture, Mr. Hurja emphasizes responsible ownership and practical readiness while fostering informed decision-making among clients.

Before launching his LLC, Mr. Hurja formed Guardian Training & Consulting in the Phoenix, Arizona, area in 2023 as a safety education instructor and consultant. In this role, he provides instruction on firearms safety and emergency preparedness to a diverse clientele. As such, Mr. Hurja marries his leadership expertise with his training skills to educate others, foster resilience, and establish a sense of safety and preparedness as a skilled trainer.

Mr. Hurja spent a year between 2025 and 2026 as a logistics supervisor at HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was responsible for overseeing healthcare logistics operations that supported patient care delivery. His focus included inventory optimization, supply chain continuity and process improvement initiatives. To ensure success, Mr. Hurja worked closely with clinical and operational leaders to strengthen healthcare support systems, improve efficiency and reduce disruptions.

Before these endeavors, Mr. Hurja served as a security officer at Banner Health in Mesa, Arizona, from 2024 to 2025. There, he contributed to maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff in the emergency department. Between 2023 and 2024, Mr. Hurja worked as an account executive at Orion ICS LLC. This remote position allowed him to leverage his skills in client relations and business development within the recruiting sector for military veterans.

Mr. Hurja’s professional foundation was established during his extensive military service with the U.S. Marine Corps from 2002 to 2023. Having held multiple leadership positions throughout his tenure, he rose to the rank of E8 master sergeant, senior logistics and transportation manager, by 2021 in Yuma, Arizona. Among his most significant professional achievements was serving as an S-3 operations chief for a special Marine Air-Ground Task Force, where he was tasked with supporting humanitarian efforts in South America during the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Despite deployment delays and operational obstacles caused by global events, Mr. Hurja’s unit maintained readiness under U.S. Southern Command and Marine Forces South directives.

Throughout his career in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Hurja completed two combat deployments to Afghanistan between 2010 and 2012. He considers bringing all of his team members home safely his greatest accomplishment, an outcome achieved through rigorous training and steadfast leadership under fire. These experiences deeply influenced Mr. Hurja’s approach to preparedness training in civilian life.

Upon retiring from military service, Mr. Hurja transitioned into civilian roles that continued his legacy of service-oriented leadership. He inherited challenging work environments but consistently transformed them into efficient operations through process improvements and team-focused strategies.

Mr. Hurja’s educational background has been pivotal to his ongoing success. He earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from the University of Arizona Global Campus in 2022 and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in supply chain management, leadership and healthcare from Arizona State University in 2026. Mr. Hurja’s commitment to professional development is further demonstrated by an array of certifications, including Lean Six Sigma credentials, several OSHA industry certifications, certified instructor recognition from the University of North Carolina, certified firearms instructor accreditation and, among others, multiple Executive Master of Business Administration series credentials focused on healthcare management. In addition to these credentials, he recently celebrated Grey Guardian LLC’s authorization as an official training partner with the Resilience-Based Leadership Program, the only federally recognized credentialing program of its kind, furthering workforce development initiatives supported by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Professional and civic affiliations underscore Mr. Hurja’s commitment to both work and community engagement. He is an active member of the Arizona Materials Management Healthcare Association, the American Medical Association, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He has been active by volunteering with Feed My Starving Children since 2025.

Mr. Hurja’s exemplary service has been recognized with honors such as the Meritorious Service Medal, awarded by the U.S. Marine Corps in 2021. He attributes much of his success to foundational values instilled during his military service.

Looking ahead over the next three to five years, Mr. Hurja aims for senior leadership or director-level responsibilities while expanding Grey Guardian LLC’s reach as an autonomous enterprise partnered with respected organizations, such as Honeywell or educational institutions like Arizona State University. Mr. Hurja remains dedicated to raising awareness about preparedness for adversity while maintaining strong family bonds and personal well-being.
