Ms. Williams is recognized for her leadership in the health care, medical and educational sectors as an entrepreneur for over 15 years. Balancing a busy career, she owns several companies, including A Hug Away Healthcare Inc. since 2008, a nationally recognized hospice care organization that provides compassionate services for children by integrating hospice services into their home environment. The following year, she launched A Hug Away Medical Supply, specializing in providing safety resources for families and organizations. A decade later, Ms. Williams expanded her endeavors, opening A Creative Genius Learning Academy in 2020, a renowned early childhood education daycare, followed by Igniting Visions Inc. in 2024.
Possessing a rich educational background, Ms. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in mathematics from McNeese State University in 1997 and a Master of Education in educational leadership and administration from Texas State University in 2005. Additionally, she holds credentials as a licensed and certified professional in medical equipment, business education, technology and principalship, as well as a licensed real estate agent and senior real estate specialist credential in Texas. Adding to her dedication to her field, Ms. Williams is a member of several professional organizations, such as the Texas Association for Home Care and Hospice, the Texas New Mexico Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, and the National Association of Realtors. Civically, she has invested her time with the Houston Regional Veterans Chamber of Commerce and as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and the Second Baptist Church. Most notably, Ms. Williams served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Grateful for her success, Ms. Williams has been recognized with several accolades, including being honored among the 2022 Most Influential Women of Color by the 100 Black Men of Houston and earlier for Best Home Health Agency with a Readers Choice Award by Living Magazine. Crediting her remarkable success to her faith, Ms. Williams also notes her father, who garnered extensive success at an oil refinery despite having only a second-grade education. Eager for the future, she intends to dedicate more time to coaching aspiring entrepreneurs. She draws tremendous satisfaction from guiding individuals to cultivate their business ideas and achieve their entrepreneurial goals.
